Interesting story:

I just came back from going to the dollar store to get some stuff that my mom wanted me to buy for New Year's Eve. I decided to get myself something to drink since I haven't had a soda since near the end of November (I don't drink it very often, generally only once or twice a month if at all). Because I like the way it tastes and not because of the caffeine (I hate the caffeine, it means I can't fall asleep :P), I got a Rockstar. I go up to the counter and guess what the cashier says: "Hey, how old are you? You shouldn't be drinking this."

Now, I know that it's not healthy. As I stated before, I drink soda at most 2 times a month. But it kinda pissed me off. Even when I made up some bullshit and said that it was for my 15-year-old brother, he still wasn't satisfied. Mind you, this guy looked like he wasn't older than 20...

You need to be 16 in the UK to buy 'energy' drinks now. Which requires photo ID. I'm guessing you picked up something akin to an energy drink. Canada doesn't seem to have these laws though, store policy maybe?

Nope, because the one I bought in November got zero questions or weird looks. It was the cashier.
