I wish you could do more with phones. I wish they had a BIOS or at least native support for booting off external devices, installing almost any OS that would run on the hardware, etc.

 

I mean, I'm not sure about the practicality aspect of it, but sometimes it would be nice to maybe have Linux instead of Android.

    USB-C could make that happen... imagine if you had a regular phone interface, but if you plugged it in to a dock of some sort be able to run the full linux experience off of it.

    PROCLAMATION:

    I hereby call all smart telephone manufacturers to allow all users to dual boot Android and any Windows version relased after Windows 95, the specific OS being user selectable at purchase time of aforementioned device.

    Or at the very least to include a "BIOS" of sorts, just something I can use to EASILY boot off a USB or something. Like, it's not practical, but god damn would it be nice to have a phone on half your drive, and have a super portable Linux or Windows machine on the other half.
