Hello awesome community!
So I've built a new PC for a friend, I built the pc and it booted, unfortunately I ran into a problem with the windows 8 (64 bit) installation (It's an illegal copy):
It launches and asks me to select the language and keyboard configuration or something, I selected these and clicked next. Then I got the error that there "are no drivers found".
I had the CD which came with the mobo in the disc drive and it was detected (windows 8 was on a USB drive), the drivers were just not found.
Managed to fix this by changing the sata mode from IDE to AHCI, now it shows the drivers. D:\AMD64\Win864_AHCI_AMD(1.3.1.43)\amd_sata.inf
is the one I selected from the list, the other options were:
D:\AMD64\Win764_AHCI_AMD(1.3.1.43)\amd_sata.inf
D:\AMD64\Vista64_AHCI_AMD(1.3.1.43)\amd_sata.inf
I then click next and after 10 seconds or so it shows me the error: "No new devices drivers were found. Make sure the installation media contains the correct drivers, and then click ok".
I'm installing this on a 120 Gb Samsung 840 and really don't know what to do, I'd appreciate any help!
PS: I'll try another version on win8 tomorrow.
