  1. He's not like that of course. More of a Witcher 3, Elder Scrolls and GTA type of a guy. He wants to buy Acer Nitro VG240YUbmiipx monitor for his RIG. 2k 75hz IPS.
  2. Yeah, his workplace is engineering new metal alloys and stuff for Russian aviation and such. Oh sh*t, now I'm gonna be sent to Siberia for telling you that ?
  3. Are you sure 550watt PSU is alright for this AMD RADEON rig? I've heard PSUs degrade over time.
  4. Thank you for the valuable input! I am myself a fan of Crucial brand. We'll wait for an AIB 5700 XT for sure, the upper is just a template.
  5. Gpu benchmark shows me that 5700 XT is the same as 2080 (non ti). Is it the same in practice? The price difference is ridiculous.
  6. Building PC for a friend. I recently bought 3600x and rtx 2060 thanks to this forum. Was on a budget. This is the final rig for my friend, what do you think? 1477 $USD. Engineering work and gaming for 5+ years. We'll wait until 5700 XT will come out with custom cooler.
  7. 16 threads vs 8 cores? For gaming for the span of 7 years. Considering new consolololes will have many cores. What do you think? Thanks.
  8. Hello, is it a bad idea to buy rx 5700 xt now and install custom cooler later? Are those the thing of the past?
  9. Or I'll get msi x570-a pro for upgrading potential like you said.
  10. Because we're talking amd here? I'll get msi b450 gaming plus. Thanks for your help, it's my first experience with AMD.
  11. What motherboard chipset would you recommend for 3600x or 3700x?
  12. 8700 non-k is 130 bucks cheaper than the k version. And I don't think I'd need overclocking with the turbo boost going up to 4600MHz.
  13. Thank you guys for answers. And if I want a cheaper AMD build with the power of 8700 and rtx 2060, what are my options? The lure of the dark (amd) side is strong!
  14. Mainly I'm interested in what graphics card atm would last me 5 years.
