  1. ive never specifically searched for an adapter, thats a stupid easy solution. thank you
  2. i have an old lenovo motherboard (is6xm) with a current case that offers hd audio and an ac 97 connector but this motherboard doesnt have a standard audio connection (some thirteen pin thing) i dont know how i could connect it to here of even if i could at all. so is there a solution to connect it to those or maybe something like a sound card (do those have front audio connectors, ive never used a sound card before so i dont know) or something creative. thank you
  3. Thank you for all of your guys help, with the knowledge that it was indeed windows causing the problem and not my motherboard i was able to better search on google which gave me an answer. ill leave the link if anyone else has this problem. http://superuser.com/questions/980205/shutdown-button-start-menu-login-screen-logs-out-but-doesnt-shut-down-in-wi
  4. That actually fucking worked, now how can i change it so i dont have to go into command prompt to shut it down everytime. Thank you by the way
  5. i can force shutdown with the case button and they are on correctly, i removed them and placed them back in and it still happens
  6. My computer (i just built it with used parts) never shuts down, when i click shut down the fans just continue to run at full speed, leds on and everything. the computer is not asleep or anything and i dont know how to fix this. ive been through all the bios settings and nothing looks like it would correct that and windows isnt set to sleep for the shutdown. the motherboard is an old lenovo is6xm motherboard with an i5 2500, 8gb of ram, and a 1050ti. Please help!
  7. i have it in the case using the power buttons and all the fans power on at full speed and just stay there if it doesnt post. i have left it in that state for 10-20 minutes before to see if the post is just taking forever.
  8. so i bought a bunch of used parts to build a computer. i got it up and running with windows and drivers installed and running stable (i even had firestrike extreme running). i didnt connect the front audio header as it wasnt a standard connection so i decided to turn off the computer and take a look. i didnt get any big changes and decided to just plug it back in and run some more tests. now it wont post. ive disconnected the graphics card, put two sticks, then one, then a completely new set of 100% functioning ram in, disconnected the hdd, changed the power supply, disconnect all fans, change the battery on the motherboard (the guy told me to try to remove it and put it back in if it isnt working which was an immediate red flag for me but i chose to ignore it). in the process of all this it posted like 5 out of 100+ attempts then it shows " PXE-E61 Media Test Failure " which i assume was just because of the fact that the hard-drive was one of the first things i always disconnected. i always mentally kept track of things that i did to try and get it to post and it would always post to me doing something different to the computer. it was never the same or consistent in anyway. the only two things i havent changed out for new parts are the motherboard and the cpu and need to know which one has the problem. my guess is the motherboard.
  9. im located in canada so the cheapest shipping it $80 aside from the fact that its veery expensive to start with (i assume the prices are in usd) plus id get fucked on the exchange rate
  10. laptop size I've accepted 15.6", gpu I dont want under 960 (below that seems rare and not worth it anyways), i want to stick to the i7 6700hq, battery isnt really a big necessity anymore as i went to all my classes today and the only one im not by an outlet is my first class so i just need to last past an hour and 15 minutes (which isnt hard). and i know its not necessary but id really like a 4k or 2k screen too. i like the ASUS Zen Book Pro UX501VW-DS71T but im not doing heavy research into the ones i find. I want a laptop that can game on the go vs just school work. my current laptop is well suited for just school.
  11. I am still awaiting my parts from ncix as they sent it to the wrong address but whenever i get it ill be running integrated graphics for a while because i currently dont have the money to buy a graphics card.
  12. I've always been intrigued by projectors but the price for the quality of projectors has never really interested me, but this thing looks amazing. The picture quality looks awesome, the short distance projection is very useful and the portability of this is so perfect for those nights when everyone is here and there's just not enough room in the living room. I personally think one of these with my new computer (if I ever get my parts from ncix) would be a good driver to make my friends jealous of my new set up.
