  2. the video card is a Asus GTX 780 direct cu II. I have the drivers up to date. (not using the beta drivers that were released a couple weeks ago)
  3. You see the image, but when you click the task manager the screen goes pure white, you dont see the task manager box at all
  4. Help!! I just got a new computer with Windows 8. Sometimes when I play Battlefield 3 the game frezzes. You see the image stop and the sound still goes for a bit. Then, when I go to ctrl alt del to get the task manger up the screen goes white. I then have to click the start button and restart.. I had Windows 7 on my previous machine and this never happend in the 250+ hours i played BF3. Anyone have problems when switching to Windows 8?. Any idea what would cause this? if you need any other system info let me know. Thanks in advance for your help guys!!
  5. I am backing up files to put on my new computer. I have Battlefield 3 and 4 Beta. I don't know how to back these up onto a thumb drive. Do i need to do this? Or, if I just install the Origin client on my new computer and log in, are my settings/ rankings saved in EA;s cloud?
  6. Check out this desk! What do you think? http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/155163930/paradise-desk-everything-youve-ever-wanted-in-a-de?ref=country
  7. Hey guys, I am having a system built. I have a Corsair 500R case with a Corsair AX1200i Should I put the PSU in as exhaust or intake? Or does it matter? The case has a intake filter. And not having heat exhaust into the case seems better to me. So im leaning toward fan down (intake). What do you guys think?
  8. I have a new Corsair 500R case coming. If I find the fans are too loud, I would go with what Linus and so many other have praised, Noctua NF-F12's These are designed for static pressure. Can you use them for intake and exhaust or do you use a different model?
  9. I am building a system and I am debating if I need one that has side fan support. I have read things where if you are water cooling your CPU (which I will) the south bridge of the motherboard does not get a lot of air flow and gets very hot. I would use a Asus Maximus VI Formula with a GTX 780 Direct CU II a 4770k overclocked to 4.5Ghz or so with a H100i cooler in pull and use the standard case fans. I would also take out the top drive cage to increase air flow and leave the bottom one in for my SSD and HDD's. I am considering the 650d (which only has a window) the 650T mesh and C70 both of which have side fan support. Please give your thoughts. Thanks in advance.
  10. I understand how Linus likes to use pull because of the ease of cleaning. One thing though, if your set up is in pull, the air is being drawn from inside the case. Wouldn't the air inside the case be hotter than air coming from outside of the case thus effecting cooling performance?
  11. sorry I mean Essence STX not essence one. Both about 200.
