  1. It's just I don't know what kind of impact it did. I mean what exactly did my RAM switching do to the PC's performance? I didn't even know that RAM's position is important. Even the slots.
  2. I think I did change the sticks position. Would that have any impact? Not sure if I actually used different slots. Didn't pay attention.
  3. Hey guys, how you doin'? First of all these are my PC specs: OS: Windows 8.1 x64 Processor: i5-4440 Motherboard: B85-HD3 RAM: 12GB (1x Corsair Vengeance 8GB @1600Mhz + 1x Kingston HyperX Blu 4GB @1600Mhz) Graphics card: Gigabyte GTX 760 2GB OC Ver 2.0 Bios Version: American Megatrends Inc. FG, 10/14/2014 It's not a problem anymore but I just wanted to know what was up with my PC. Recently I discovered that one of my RAMs required 1.65V to run while my other RAM only needed 1.5V and although I read before that if I install 2 different RAM sticks with the same frequency they would run but it's not preferable but I did it anyways and that was like 3-4 years ago. I just had some extra money and went ahead and bought a WD Caviar Black 1TB along with a Corsair Vengeance 8GB RAM and I put it there and has been running fine since. A couple of days ago I installed CPU-Z to check my DRAM frequency and found it it was running on something in between 1333 - 1600 Mhz. After I removed my case and blew the dust away I had to test both RAMs separately to see if there is a problem but there weren't any problems and they worked fine. I checked a couple of threads on multiple forums to see if it's okay to increase my RAM voltage to 1.65V because I don't want to damage neither my MOBO or my RAMs and also learned that they both run at different timings and they can't be the same so I kinda gave up and planned to buy another 8GB one later once I have the money cause' I hate to see my PC underperforming. I put everything back and after I boot up my PC I quickly opened CPU-Z and surprisingly my RAMs are running on ~1600Mhz without changing anything in the bios settings. I went ahead and played a game of "PUBG" with my friends and surprisingly the game was way smoother than before as it hasn't been running smoothly at all since I installed it and thought that my PC specs are just bad and I just need an upgrade. Like literally the FPS doubled in PUBG and I don't even experience the same FPS or stutters I had before. I went ahead and opened up another game - CS:GO - and my FPS was way higher than before and again I am not experiencing any stuttering or FPS drops and my FPS kinda doubled. My question is: What was wrong with my PC that made almost all the games run with such low performance? I cleaned my PC before and nothing happened or changed and I always clean my case from the dust every now and then to avoid any cooling issues since I live in a very hot country and I don't have anything other than the stock fans. What was wrong with my PC all that time? could it be the RAMs? was my PC bottlenecking or something? I have been trying to figure out what was wrong with my PC but I just can't figure it out.
  4. I just faced this issue with my Diablo III Mouse and I thought it was pretty much dead until my friend told me I could do a Firmware update and see if it fixes the issue and I went on the internet -of course- trying to find that firmware update thingy and also tried a couple other solutions but didn't work actually and decided to full uninstall the current engine and use the Firmware update tool which I couldn't find anywhere until I finally found it and used it and VOILLA my mouse is back. Anyways here is the link to the Firmware update tool: http://downloads.steelseriescdn.com/drivers/engine/SSEFix_1.27.0.0.exe Here is a screenshot. I got an error while updating the mouse's firmware but it said I should just unplug then replug it again and it went smooth. Thanks whoever tried to help in this post including OP of course.
