Urrgghhhh, I'm so fed up with applying for apprenticeships/jobs. Sent out 100+ applications over the course of 2 and a half years and nothing worked so far. I've done several work experiences/Internships and many companies promised me that I get the job and what not, but in the end they all had all kinds of reasons to cancel me. Till now I've always been mainly occupied with school and school projects so I wasn't able to invest as much time as I would've liked into the job seeking process. I tried and wanted to get an apprenticeship for 2019, because that didn't work out I had to do an extra year at an different school in another city that was supposed to help me find something for 2020 and yet again I have nothing. I'm now sending out applications for 2021 because now it's too late, yet again. I've been sending out applications as everything in IT over Sales, Logistics and Construction. But funnily enough the latter 3 always told me to fuck off (not actually of course) and to apply for a job in IT which was and still is my main goal. Lol I said it at the beginning of my job seeking endeavour and I can speak from experience now, IT/System Engineer/sys admin/Applications developer really is the direction I wanna go in and nothing else.

That's just the way things are. Not just in a COVID economy but in general. The job market is just too competitive and there has been massive "degree inflation" where higher and higher educations are needed for jobs that realistically require nothing more than hands on training.
