A few things:
Valve has joined the likes of Spotify & Reddit and made their own Recap of the year, called Steam Replay. Here's mine:
https://store.steampowered.com/replay/76561198340244051/2022
I haven't had more time to play games but at least I was able to play through a bunch of them in my limited time frame last year. By far my favourite one was Stray, it was a great experience playing it on my Steamdeck.
I scrolled 173.957 Bananas on Reddit this past year, do with that information what you will.
This past week I have caught up on the new Star Wars content and binge watched The Obiwan Kenobi, Andor and Book of Boba Fett series's. Additionally I have watched all of the bts, deleted scenes and both documentaries on how they made Episode 8: The Last Jedi and Episode 9: Rise of Skywalker. I liked Andor the most, with Boba Fett coming in at second place and Obiwan Kenobi series last because it doesn't actually focus on our beloved Ben Kenobi that much but rather on someone else. At least that other Character is also a very important one in the Star Wars Universe. Watching all of the bts was just freaking great as well, I love that stuff.
New Star Wars content will release soon too with Season 2 of the Bad Batch on January 4th and Season 3 of the Mandalorian March 1st 2023.
I have now switched Browsers for good to start the year of right. From Google Chrome to Firefox. Main reason of course being that Google decided to handicap adblockers and make a worse Browsing experience out of it. Search engine is still duckduckgo of course. I played around with the idea of switching to Firefox in the past few years but didn't because it didn't yet look good/similar enough for me to easily switch over. The biggest thing that bugged me was that they had this side pop out window for Bookmarks which was the only way that you could acces your Bookmarks as far as I could tell back then. But now the Bookmarks are there were they are supposed to be imo.
What I liked right away:
- Was that I was able to import my 150+ Bookmarks from Chrome and that they actually show up exactly the same neatly organized with all my folders
- The fact that you can customize the Toolbar and stuff to your liking with adding and removing buttons
- The fact that Firefox has arrow keys in the Tab bar so that you can easily slide around and switch to different tabs all the way at the other end without pain, why doesn't Chrome have this lol. This will help a lot when having 100+ Tabs open when checking out my LTT Forum Notifs lol
- Adding Add Ons feels easier to do
- That Firefox actively promotes tools to block advertisers and Trackers
As with all things new it'll take some time with getting used to but that'll take more time on the App on Android. The Browser is pretty much the same.
As for the annual tradition:
I of course already purchased my T-Shirt. Got the Cotton one as always.

I finally have two weeks of Holidays now. What an exhausting year it has been. Time to do the Steamdeck Display Upgrades, look into why Pop OS pooped itself on my Desktop and probably completely reinstall it, actually have the time to play games for more than 3 hours at a time plus get back to binch watching Series again. I will probably watch all the new Star Wars Content at once before going back to watching the Grand Tour.
