  1. Hello. Thanks to this forum, I was able to put together a list of compatible components and, after 6-7 long hours, I finally finished building this PC. What do you guys think of it, what should I improve? This is my first build from scratch, so I would love some honest feedback. Specs: Ryzen 5800X Corsair H100i RGB Platinum Gigabyte Aorus 3080 Master Gigabyte Aorus x570 Elite Corsair Vengeance 2x8GB 3200 Mhz Samsung 970 Evo 1TB Asus ROG 750W 80+ Gold Corsair LL120 RGB 120mm
  2. I will use 2 sticks with Dual Channel. I will overclock to 3600 then, is there any good tutorial of how to do that? And also, I know this is probably a stupid question, but is there a change of damage if I do that? If only the RAM could be damage, I won't mind, it's an easy fix, but I don't want to damage other components too.
  3. Is there a big difference between 3600 and 3200? If it is, I will upgrade, but I need to mention that the 3200 is on a great deal (1/2 the price of the 3600).
  4. Budget (including currency): Around 2000$, might be higher if required Country: Romania (prices are higher here, around 1400-1500$ for this build) Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Software Development (Web + Mobile App), some AAA Games. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): https://pcpartpicker.com/list/q4V34d No peripherals needed, I don't have any Desktop PC at the moment. I would like to play some AAA games at 4K 60 FPS. What do you guys think? I orderer some custom cables too (sleeved white & black), I really care for aesthetics. There is no graphics card because I am waiting for the RTX 3080 to be available. Are there any incompabilities that I didn't noticed with this part picker?
  5. I just checked and both motherboards are about the same price, with minor differences. I think I would go with the Z390, I just got more confidence in the brand. I've owned an ASRock motherboard before and it broke twice... I'm from Romania, the prices here are usually higher, but it's weird in the holiday season, some components that should be more expensive than others are exactly opposite. Thank you very much for your help and time.
  6. I plan to overclock this CPU. I never overclocked a CPU before, but I want to start with this one.
  7. Thank you for your suggestions. I really should have put this information in the main post, my bad. Right now, I'm getting a pretty good deal on both the GPU and CPU (i7 9700K). It's weird in my country, right now the 9700K is cheaper than 8700K, it's about $380. I'll wait for more suggestion on the motherboard. @mxk. You're right, I think I will be fine with the 2400 kit. Also, you're saying that it's not a big difference between NVMe and SATA? In that case, I think I'll stick with SATA.
  8. Thank you for your suggestions. I'm willing to get a better motherboard, but I really don't know very much about them. The one you suggested seems to not have heat spreaders, but I really don't know what else should I buy. The GPU is on sale in my country, almost 35% off. @leo1798 I already have a GSync 144Hz monitor, but I don't have a very good PC right now, it's 3 generations old.
  9. Hello, I made this build on pcpartpicker and I would really want your opinions before I buy this. What upgrades/downgrades should I make? The price can go up to $2000 max. 10. Thank you all for your suggestions, I really appreciate it. I don't know the exact model of the power supply because I bought it 4 or 5 years ago, but it's modular and it's form NZXT. I would definetly need a new motherboard, the current one was around 80$ 5 years ago. I think I will go with the build suggested by NelizMastr: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ZkM78Y
  11. Hello. I would like to upgrade my current PC and I need some help. I want to play games at 1440p on Ultra settings with 60+ FPS if it's possible. What should I upgrade and what should I keep? 12. I made a little upgrade. I added 2 Corsair AF120 Red Fans and one Bitfenix Alchemy 2.0 Magnetic LED Strip. What do you guys thinks?
  13. Yes, I realised I posted on the wrong sub-forum. My mistake. I don't mind the ATX Power Cable, maybe I'll replace it, but I don't consider this a priority. Indeed, my monitor is a little outdated. I would like to upgrade it, do you have any suggestions for an 1080p 144Hz monitor? I don't see the need to do that, there is not such a big difference in terms of performance. My plan is to upgrade it after one year or so with a GeForce GTX 1080.
  14. Yes, like I said, this is the first built I have ever done. I wanted to know your feedback, maybe I did something wrong, or something...
  15. This is the first PC I personally built. What do you guys think? What upgrades do you recommend? And what do you think about the cable management?
