  1. That gave me an idea. Linus' next upload should be "Everclear cooled PC build!"
  2. To be honest, I don't know... and I don't think that the kid that called me knew either.
  3. Same... Not just that shit, the kid got like triple ASUS 1080p monitors as well. My first PC was an eMachines that ran Windows Vista.
  4. The kid is like 12, and I was forcibly dragged into it by someone else. A friend of a friend thing... I should have mentioned it.
  5. So, I am basically the only person out of all of my friends that knows anything about computers, so I often become unpaid tech support for everyone. I had been playing The Crew when someone called on skype, he said that with the computer he just built, he had no video output when he turned it on. He bought an Intel Core i7 6800K, GTX 1080, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and he had bought an AIO Watercooling kit for it. I don't know about you, but I was always taught that for your first PC build, you don't build a watercooled kit. At first he had both DVI and HDMI plugged in one GTX 1080, going to a single monitor. After that was all sorted out, I told him to open the case, and I noticed that it was watercooled, so I asked him if he had water in the loop. He said "no, is that a bad thing?" I told him that depending on how long he had the computer turned on for, there is a chance that the CPU was damaged because it overheated, due to it not being cooled at all. He replied "It should be fine, I have only had on for like an hour." If I am correct, it could take less than 10 seconds for damage to occur in a CPU that is not being cooled. So, I tell him that damage can occur in a CPU in less than a minute, then he ended the call. This is perhaps the worst experience that I have had as any sort of tech support. Have you ever encountered worse?
  6. I know my wording is shitty, I am just too tired to word these things correctly. I would have taken the time out to do it, but I am burned out right now.
  7. This is specifically going to be about my thoughts on display of "The New Razer Blade" which is the new revision of it that has the GTX 1060 in it. I was pondering which version of the blade to get when I thought to myself, "Do I really need 3200 x 1800 as apposed to 1920 x 1080?" So I started considering my options. I think the lower resolution would result in better battery life and better performance. I do not have the numbers, therefore I cannot assume anything. Anyways, this has honestly cleared up no questions that I had, but I want to hear your opinions on the matter. Do we need to have 3200 x 1800 resolution for gaming, as apposed to 1920 x 1080? It would be helpful if someone gave actual numbers on battery life and framerate to give any and all of us an idea of how much the display impacts performance. I would like to add that you can apply this to any system to weigh your monitor purchasing decisions. I am just basing this around the Blade 14 because I am most likely going to be buying that soon. Here is the link to "The New Razer Blade" if you feel like doing all of the math as far as this goes: http://www.razerzone.com/store/razer-blade
  8. Nice. I got my Performance MX up for about 45 bucks in february.
  9. Everyone loves that mouse. I never used it before.
  10. What is your favorite Computer Mouse? Personally, I currently use the Logitech Performance MX Mouse. It was my first "high end" mouse, and I am soon going to be upgrading to the MX Master. Prior to that, I would buy $15 Logitech M325's.
  11. I am shopping on Amazon, mostly because there is literally no computer store within 100 miles of me... the local Best Buy doesn't carry computer components... come to think of it, I don't think I ever saw this best buy carry an actual computer... I just saw that, knew that Noctua has a good reputation, and saw good reviews... Due to recent advice, I am now looking at a D15.
