  1. I might have figured something out. My power supply was plugged into a power brick, and not straight into a wall socket. So far i've had no issues playing games and just heavy workloads, so i think that the power brick might just have had issues handling that current flow, not all the time, but once in a while it'd fail someway, and cause the issue that my computer was having. I hope this will remain a permanent fix, and not that it's just not occurring for a while, but anyways Thanks for the help
  2. are you sure you're running 5.2 Ghz?, because cinebench seems to detect 3.6.
  3. yes i am overclocking a slight bit, nothing major, but i am sure that my 750W power supply isn't having much trouble, i've got this meter that measures how much Watts are being pulled from the wall, and on that socket i've got my PC and both monitors. and the highest reading that i've ever seen it give is about 500W, which is well below what my PSU is rated for
  4. so recently i have upgraded my GPU from a 1070 (Asus OC-edition) to a 2080 SUPER (Asus OC-edition). but whilst i was playing some graphical games (not the most demanding or anything) i have had multiple times that my display output just stops. the only way i've found to regain display output is to shut down the pc by cutting the power and rebooting, because it seems to think that windows is still running as normal. i have already reinstalled all VGA drivers and GPU Tweak II. though there is another odd thing that GPU Tweak has. whenever i minimize the software, it just crashes. no longer being able to bring up the control panel or anything related to GPU Tweak. so then i have to use task manager to force exit the program, and then start it up again, only to get the control panel up. this behavior is just weird, and definitely not supposed to happen. so if anyone might have the slightest clue on how to fix this i'd be very grateful
  5. i believe this issue might be bigger than just my keyboard, i have swapped my mouse and keyboard's ports, but now it's my mouse that is occasionally disconnecting... at least that helps to diagnose that its not the keyboard but the connection on the motherboard itself, but not really much closer to fixing it. Edit: now that i think of it, those two ports that seem to be misbehaving, are right under my secondary lan port, which i disabled the controller from because i figured i'd never need it, so why have it turned on... i'll try activating that once more and seeing if that fixes the problem. Edit 2: nope, didn't fix it
  6. though my audio passthrough might be too short for that now that i think of it...
  7. alright, well, i'll try if maybe there are some ports that are willing to function on my rear panel, and otherwise i can try if having it connected via my monitor's pass-through usb works, otherwise i'll indeed have to contact my motherboard manufacturer or keyboard manufacturer (would be second time for that one...)
  8. it is just directly the cable from the keyboard plugged in the back, no hubs, extensions or anything. i have tried some other USB ports, and on my rear panel i don't have any USB 2.0 ports, only higher.
  9. Hi Forums, So recently i upgraded my pc with a new motherboard, ram, cooler and cpu, but with this motherboard i am having the problem that my keyboard is disconnecting for a split second at random intervals. i have already tried setting that windows can't disable the device to save power, i don't see any USB drivers for my motherboard, nor can i see any settings in the bios for where i can increase the max power delivered by the USB connections. there are no driver updates for the keyboard and usb devices when i go into device manage (i know this isn't the best way but my previous system worked perfectly fine). my previous motherboard was an asus prime X370-pro, and currently i have an asus ROG Strix X570-e. regarding power delivery i only have one 4 pin CPU connector not connected, but that shouldn't interfere with USB power delivery i believe. so if anyone has a fix/suggestion for this problem, i'd be very grateful for the help
  10. i do know about voicemeeter, it's a really useful piece of software. i use it to have multiple outputs at once
  11. alright, so i currently have an OC of 4 Ghz, which is pretty minimal i'd say, but still my temperatures can go up to 80 degrees, with my 280mm AIO mounted correctly this time. and then i still have the keyboard occasionally disconnecting for a second... but i think i'll open a new thread for my keyboard issue
  12. Alright, i have checked but my PSU did not come with a secondary 4+4 ATX12V connector (unfortunately), and i'll send corsair a ticket asking if i could get one. but for the temperatures, Ryzen master was correct, it was hitting ridiculous temperatures, and likely shutting off because of those temps. the problem seemed to be that my cooler was not mounted with enough pressure or either came loose. no idea why AIDA64 reported such low temps, but my guess would be that it took another measuring point. i'll try the overclocking once more with current temps, in the hope that i can get a stable OC at lower voltages. i'll attempt the prime95 test you suggested, but seen as how the system is currently running, i expect that it will have no problems with that. Thank you for the help.
  13. I'll try that when i get home, but the weird thing is that AMD has a max safe voltage of 1.35, and i'm already above that... And seen as i would like to use this chip for quite some time, would that impact lifespan or not?. Another thing i forgot to mention is that my mobo has an 8 + 4 pin cpu power connector, but i have only got one 8 pin, so the second 4 pin is not plugged in, could that cause issues as well?
  14. Hi forums, So recently i got a few new components for my pc: 3900x, asus strix x570-e, nzxt x62 and 32 GB corsair vengeance RGB pro. seen as on the forums and the recent LTT video: it is said that the max safe voltage for ryzen is 1.35 (even AMD itself says so), even when overclocking, and that 1.3375 would be even better. so i lowered these voltages in my bios with stock speeds. windows boots, so that's not really the problem, the problem begins when i want to stress my system. upon opening Ryzen master it instantly reports temperatures around 50 degrees, which is already on the high side for an idling CPU. but when i start stressing the cpu with AIDA64 Extreme, it gets weirder. Suddenly Ryzen Master reports temperatures of 95 to 115 degrees. which is above its default limit of 95. seen as i have an AIO i would think these temperatures would go up at least a bit slower, and sure enough AIDA64 does report lower temps (arount 40 degrees less when stressing). many times my system crashed after just stressing the CPU at stock speeds of 3.8 Ghz. i have tried 4.0 Ghz, but it reports even higher temps whilst my cooler should easily be capable of handling this. currently i have my voltage set at 1.3675 to have some form of stability. but this should not be required. another weird thing is that when i stop the stress test before the system crashes, ryzen master drops down the cpu temps back to 50 degrees nearly instantly, making it look like more of a cpu usage meter rather than a temperature one. the thing i just don't get is that i can't even reach stock speeds with the max safe voltage that AMD itself confirmed, so if anyone can help in fixing this issue that would be greatly appreciated. another little thing i noticed just while typing this post, is that occasionally my keyboard loses power for a split second and then just works like nothing ever happened (i can see by the RGB lights turning off for a split second) full list of system specs: CPU: Ryzen 9 3900x MoBo: Asus ROG Strix X570-e RAM: 32GB Corsair Vengeance CPU Cooler: NZXT kraken x62 PSU: Corsair RM750x GPU: Asus ROG Strix 1070 OC edition Keyboard: Sharkoon Sharkzone MK80 (brown switches) Mouse: Logitech G502 Case: phanteks p900s Storage: 1x Hyperx SATA SSD (480GB - Windows install) 1x WD Black SATA HDD (2TB) 1x WD Black SATA HDD (4TB) i hope this is an issue that can be fixed with some tweaks to settings, and is not a hardware problem. but i will thank you in advance for the help, Sigma-Erebus
  15. I tried. I know how to do it. But apparently after 5 hours it finally decided to do something after opening the online config site on my phone again. No idea what was different this time, but it just all out of the blue decided to work...
