  1. Nope it is not, am too much of a wuss to delid a CPU since I have like butter fingers and will most definitely find a way to break it. However, I'm more and more leaning to the possibility that the CPU cooler isn't screwed down hard enough since very recently I swapped cases and had to reinstall the cooler again, so there's a high chance it might be the reason for the temperature spikes.
  2. I see, never thought of that considering I always screw the mountain plate down onto the CPU snug but not like wrenching it down super tight, will definitely give it a try later. Thanks a bunch!
  3. I see... What about the temperatures spiking up and down between 35 - 41 every second when not under load though? I was under the impression that that's not good.
  4. It runs about 67 to 69 during a Cinebench test I just did. Forgot to mention that my room's temperature is about 30-31ish since the A.C isn't on.
  5. Hey guys so I have a 8700k on a ASUS Z370 Gaming-E motherboard, am using a Corsair H100iV2 AIO liquid cooler along with it. My idle temps are spiking up and down around 34 - 41 degrees according to MSI Afterburner, am not doing any demanding tasks but I do have some programs like Spotify, Discord, Steam, and a few tabs of Chrome open, it jumps up to like 50 - 51 for a split moment when launching a program. Will try to provide as much information as I can that is to the best of my knowledge along with some screenshots. Thanks in advance!
