BiggestFan reacted to Silent_R493 in Tips for headset
From that list I've heard the G430s are ok. I know many like the 930s for wireless. The Corsiar 2100 are great if you want wireless. Razer Krakens if you like your bass boomy (my friend loves them for games and dubstep). Plantronics Gamecon 780 may be good. Back when they released the 777s they were pretty nice. not sure now.
Out of these pick ones your considering the most with the feature you think you may like or use often. Sound Quality is going to be about the same for them all if i'd have to guess. These headsets are more convenience then "OMG That Sound Quality". Not to say their bad since it depends on your ears and taste in sound.
I use to use Trittion headset on my console and PC. I made the switch the a Sennheiser PC series headset and will not look back. Very Big difference since its a headset made from an Audio Company and not a Peripheral company.
Good luck with your selection. Hope you enjoy.

Why people are suggesting a gtx 760 or a 770 when you can get an MSI Twin Frozr R9 290 within that budget range...

BiggestFan reacted to WoodenMarker in R9 290 vs 780 GTX
The 780 isn't a bit more powerful. They beat each other in different games and are pretty much neck and neck.

Right, to start off with, most of the stuff ive done will be gettinga nother sanding down and another coating of paint when i get more time, ive now got 1 day off work to get this system into some kind of workable starte
and i havnt even tested it properly yet. I have done a fair bit over the last couple of days, but i havnt been taking many pictures really, i WILL be re doing it as i say though, and then i will have my DSLR back
Firstly a big thanks to
They have cut some acrylic for me in super fast time! and as always, their work is outstanding!
they are relitivly simple cuts, but it took a fair few hours work from me, which has been a life saver.
This will eventually let me mount my pumps and reservoirs like this :
I also sprayed 2 gpu blocks white, because 2 look really nice....
then i sprayed another one because 3 are awesome
the loop has started to go in!!
with my personal favorite bit
ive also taken apart an old fan filter and put my material there instead!
(excuse the wet patches, id just cleaned out the radiator again)
Ive still got a hell of a lot to do, but i think i might just have to bang it together on wednesday now so that i can take it to LAN thursday, either that or carry on building when i get to lan haha
Id also like to thank Garry (confused) for helping me last week with this, he helped me out quite a lot!!! (and bought me some stuff to use!!)

BiggestFan reacted to Akolyte in Difference between SP and AF?
Your very welcome! I hope you like them
-
BiggestFan reacted to Izaya Orihara in Difference between SP and AF?
SP Fans are static pressure optimized fans. Used in applications such as pushing are through heatsinks, rads and all that stuff where you need static pressure. If you want to use them on case fans get the AF Series (Actually i don't recommend Corsair Fans but hey they look fancy and if you don't care about the noise) if you want to use them on a heatsink of some sort get the SP Series. Also Static Pressure Fans are generally louder than regular airflow fans.
-
BiggestFan reacted to Akolyte in Difference between SP and AF?
SP means static pressure, which means its optimized for pressure, or blowing hard in very confined spaces. Such as a Radiator or CPU cooler. AF stands for Airflow, its designed to bring a gentle breeze through, enough to get the airflowing in your case. Such as a front fan or an exhaust fan.
