How do i make the game use my 2080 because for some reason it is trying to use my rx 580 and i dont know why?

i just use the rx580 for mining thats it and i think i may have figured it out it just wont let me fullscreen the game at all or it gives me the crash. im not sure how to set it as the discreet gpu i mean im sure it already is

i just put a rx 580 in my pc for nicehash mining and my main gpu is a 2080 for some reason it will not launch madden 21 and i get this error DirectX function "adapter->EnumOuputs(0, ppOutput)" failed with DXGI_ERROR_NOT_FOUND ("When calling IDXGIObject::GetPrivateData, the GUID passed in is not recognized as on previously passed to IDXGIObject::GetPrivateData or IDXGIObject::SetPrivateDataInterface. When calling IDXGIFactory::EnumAdapters or IDXGIAdapter::EnumOutputs, the enumerated ordinal is out of range."). GPU: "AMD Thats not the full error i cant seem to copy paste the entire thing but can anyone tell me what to do?

i got it chief thanks for all the help really appreciate it. i stuck it in my main pc i had extra pcie pins and installed drivers and so far all is well thanks man

well ive removed the card im gonna try to throw it in my main board um i didnt realize it but i was using an addon connector that was actually for the mobo power lmfao so im gonna try to find an adapter for it for my main pc to throw it in. If it has an 8 pin connector can i use a 6pin and itll boot or no?

i think i am and why is it like that?

Thats the only other thing to try? its kinda a pain so i was hoping there was another way lol

i dont have any other slots and no i cant find it in device manager everything is plugged in correctly and slotted correctly

I have a small pc i use for mining on nicehash now i have an rtx 2060 in there and i am trying to add this rx 580 and it isnt showing up and wont let me install graphics drivers for it. Is there something i need to set in the mobo settings or something else im doing wrong i have tried going into device manager and updating pcie stuff but it wont show up in there. System is Ryzen 7 1800x 16gb ddr4 3200mhz Rtx 2060 Asrock b450 pro 4 All i need to do is get it to show up so i can have it mining nicehash

i did change the gpu slot to number 1 and it doesnt come on. Like no post at all which is weird as fuck lol

And yes i know i do cpu mining on the 3900x thats why i got it but still i should have that little of fps with that card and this pc i mean idk tbh but i still feel like i shouldnt have lag like that lol

well it shows on task manager the ram is running right and also in gpuz that it is. I have not tested the second slot but it is a x16 slot

I built this monster pc so i could game at good settings and not have lag. Yet in apex legends i cannot seem to get good fps i am on a 1440p monitor at 144hz i play at 1900 by 1200 16:10 in game because stretch helps. My rtx 2080 super cant get like over 80 fps in the drop ship and less then 144 in game while fighting? all settings are on low or disabled. Specs to the pc are Ryzen 9 3900x Rtx2080 super asus rog motherboard not sure which one but paid like 300$ for it 2tb nvme m.2 32gb ram at 3200mhz dual channel 850 watt psu not entirely sure what its called havent looked. Yet my pc seems to not run apex at a decent framerate i have all drivers installed. Is there something in nvidia control panel i need to set or something im doing wrong im so confused my gpu is in the second slot in the mobo but its a x16 slot

pulled the top part of the case off and now its at like 75C underfull load so i think its just an airflow problem. Problem solved lmao sorry for the post
