  1. I have an annoyance with using a switch pro controller on PC to play the new Ori game on steam. In the game, the default controls for a switch controller map jump to the B button and abilities to A, X, and Y which follows the xbox pattern. The annoying part is menu navigation has B as accept for everything and A to cancel or go back. I would prefer to keep B jump as I like having the bottom button as jump, but having B and A reversed for menu navigation has really been getting on my nerves. I'm aware that you can remap buttons in steam's controller setup UI but that doesn't solve the problem, as while it might fix the menu navigation it would then make jump the right button instead of bottom. I've scoured the internet for solutions but couldn't find anything that wasn't just remapping like the steam settings can do. There were a couple things I found for XInput but as far as I know switch pro controllers are only DirectInput. So far I've played about half the game with the reversed navigation issue and it's been one of those little things that just starts to drive you insane over time. If anyone has any ideas I'd be happy to try them.
  2. Just as a follow up to this in case anyone else finds this thread, I ended up picking up the Avantree ANC032 from amazon. They were basically everything I was looking for, with the bonus of active noise cancellation. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079GMZHT7/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  3. So, I've been looking for some decent on-ear Bluetooth headphones lately and it's been more of a struggle than I originally thought. Currently at work all day I wear a pair of in-ear bluetooth headphones that were about $30 and perform quite well, but wearing earbuds for 8 hours straight gets very uncomfortable. I really enjoy the wire-free living of bluetooth headphones, but I want to find a more comfortable pair. Also, for work I often have to watch videos, so having minimum to zero audio lag is important to me. I am by no means an audiophile, so sound quality isn't a big deal for me. Basically, here is what I've been looking for: - less than $100 - bluetooth - over-ear/on-ear - low/no audio lag - comfortable to wear for hours at a time From my looking around on other forums and amazon and whatnot this seems to be a tall order, but if any of you guys have ideas of something I could try out please let me know!
  4. I'm looking for a case for my new PC. I'm getting a Z370 motherboard with an i5-8600k so I really wanted to get a case with a USB type-c port on the front panel. I've found all of In Win's offerings and I've checked out the new Dark Base 700 but I wanted to know if anyone else knows of other cases on the market with USB-C, particularly mATX towers (I really liked In Win's 301C case but it isn't available anywhere). Thanks for any help!
  5. Not that I've found. Just settings for the different types of clicks and tracking speed.
  6. I'm trying to find a way to disable the weird acceleration of an Apple Magic Mouse in macOS Sierra. Currently when using a magic mouse if I try tracking slowly to click on a small icon or place the cursor in a certain word in text or something, the mouse tracks incredibly poorly and makes it very hard to accurately click, which I've learned is due to it's acceleration curve. I've tried SteerMouse (which apparently doesn't support magic mice), SmoothMouse (which doesn't support Sierra), and this terminal command (which didn't seem to work). Any other ideas that I might try? Also, please don't suggest getting a different mouse or using Windows. I use a mac at work along with the magic mouse they provided. I used to use my personal Logitech G900 at work but it broke last week.
  7. I've been looking for a new monitor to replace one that I sold to a friend. I was interested in 144Hz 1440p monitors but the majority of good ones are $500-$800 which is above my price range, so I decided to look at 144Hz 1080p instead. I really wanted to find a 23"-25" 120Hz or 144Hz IPS 1080p display, but I'm pretty sure that doesn't exist after scouring pcpartpicker, the rest of the internet, and the LTT forums alike. So my question is, what're some of the better high refresh rate 1080p monitors out there that have really solid panels even if they're not IPS?
  8. I have done that. It seems there is a speaker somewhere directly on the motherboard. It seems to be different from regular startup. I've been using this specific rig for at least a year now and the extra beeping only started recently.
  9. Hello all My motherboard has recently been issuing three short beeps repeated three times upon startup. I have an Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z motherboard. It doesn't display an abnormal Q-code and there is nothing noticably wrong with my computer, I just want the beeping to stop haha. My full desktop build can be seen here: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/JPz2RG Does anyone know what might be causing this beeping and what I could do to fix it? The motherboard manual doesn't say anything about 3 sets of 3 short beeps and I couldn't find anything else online about it. Any help is appreciated!
