  1. yes, such i shame. i guess i will paint the cooler and if it looks red or something i will just let the rib leds off.
  2. do you know any way to change the color of them? the msi gaming app onlylets me change the color of the ones on the logo
  3. they're not rgb as far as i know. the logo is the only one that's rgb. i mean if the light is strong enough it could go through the paint
  4. it's not a stupid question it might be a waterproof led strip or something i can just paint over it
  5. are you sure abot that? what if i paint the leds themselves?
  6. i see some red glare there but i am not sure if it comes from the plastic or the leds itself. not sure if the leds are red
  7. i am planning to paint my msi gaming x rx 480 white but i was thinking if this part of the cooler will look good: http://prntscr.com/e0fgto because that part is transluscent plastic so i am wondering if it will still look red-ish even if i paint those stripes on both sides because the plastic will still be red on the inside. i am only planning to paint white the red parts of the cooler and the backplate, also how good do you guys think it will look overall? i haven't seen anyone painting these specific coolers from the last gen of cards.
  8. hi guys, i recently added an rx 480 to my gaming pc, before i bought it i had been gaming on 1360x768 because games are easier to run in that resolution for my igpu. Now that i have the 480 i tried running the games on 1080p and thet look horrible, they look blurry and the image quality is not crisp. on the other hand when i set them to 1360x768 they they look so much better, i also tried 720p and it looks blurry too, as well as supersampling other resolutions through AMD drivers, like 1440p and 4k, but all of them look blurry. i was thinking that maybe my "1080p" tv is not 1080p at all, i also want to mention that this tv is a cheap brand. i tried 1080p on another tv (sony) and it looks good though.
  9. I'm wondering if there is any sort of configuration on a motherboard's bios in order to get a video card to be recognized. i bought my first Video card, an rx 470 (used) from ebay and i could not get my pc to recognize it in any way, i mean i thought it was just plugging the card into the pci slot, plugging in the power cables to the card and then plugging the hdmi cable to the card and the monitor and boom, ready to go, am i right? i'm just trying to diagnose the problem though i really believe the card is faulty, installing a graphics card is not rocket science. it can't be that hard. more information on the issues here
  10. i wish it was that simple. The pc does not recognize the card to the point that it does not even send video through the card! if i'd plug my hdmi cable on the card nothing comes up on the screen, just like if the monitor were plugged into nothing.
  11. thanks for the hope, i just tried it but the program (atiwinflash) does not even recognized the card, just like the bios/pc/drivers install program/etc don't. when i try to open ATIwinflash it says something like this this: Unable to find the ATI discrete card. (in spanish, as that's my language)
  12. the card looks like new. the power supply was new when i bought it. i have thought too that the psu was the issue because the card does the same thing wether the 8 pin connector is plugged in or not; ligths up. But i have also thought that the PSU is not the issue because i am running skylake, my cpu is only 65w tdp, 2 ram sticks and 2 hard drives, that's it, so there should be plenty of watts left.
  13. i have tried different pci slots. i did what you said except for the "uefi settings" part. i did not understand that, could you be more specific? the card didn't work disabling csm, disconnecting the hard drives and turning on secure boot. i also tried both slots again. the CSM also enables itself back after some boots. i noticed that when i disable csm the computer goes straight to the BIOS and the bios looks zoomed in
  14. i don't know a lot about it, but i can try if i need to. my motherboard has dual bios so if screw up i can just switch to the another one. yes i build this computer by myself
  15. CSM was enabled, i just checked. i inserted it fully in the slot. as much as it can be inserted and i put the two screws, but it still hags up a little by it's own weigh no matter how i secure it with the screws. do you think this can be the problem? should i try with the pc layed down to see if it works that way?
