  1. Yeah.. I know, I'm sorry. It's really a me issue, I get very happy, and very sad, and annoyed etc very easily. You've not actually done anything wrong, you've been prompt and to the point so far. I'm happy you're here to assist. I just feel uh, "disabled" if we put it like that, not being able to do anything about the situation as it stands right now..
  2. It's a tower server from Dell that is pre-built. You can't replace the power supply as it uses proprietary internal connections to the motherboard. I can't just replace it because I am not on site and no one else is either.
  3. Hi there! Hope you're having a wonderful day; Q1: How will the power be balanced between PCIE lane and the PCIE power cables? Q2: Is there any more pre-cautions I can take to avoid melting the adapter? Bios mods? Q3: How stupid am I? I have a server with a 350W Psu. This server has NO pcieX6 and uses proprietary connections for the PSU. I've not found a suitable adapter. About a month ago, I put in an MSI GTX 960 2gd5 (Blower) GPU that has an X6 power cable requirement. To be able to use the GPU, which is a requirement for the servers usage as it converts files that requires nvidias sync thing. I've then put the Power to 50%(As low as the bar goes in MSI afterburner) to not overheat my SATA cable and apply this on boot. My understanding is that it is 50W max for a SATA cable. This is a 24/7 system, but load is rarely put more than maximum 1h then idle for a good while. Usually ~12h rest. I've tried to "stresstest" it, and monitor reported Watt in GPUz/HWINFO, During this stresstest while having powerlimit to 100% peak was 48W. Idle is peak 10w. I do currently not have access to the room where the machine is located. It's located approx 3h one way with airplane. So even if adapter was found, no one could put it in. If my understanding is correct, 6pin max power is 75W. If I run this at 50% power, it should give enough headroom to be deemed safe. Max power rated by Nvidia homepage for reference model and on MSI's homepage: 120 W 120w/2 (connectors) 60w each, powerlimit 50%. Depending on how the power is distributed during this 'torture', it could end up pushing 60w on the SATA. Although I strongly believe some will go through the pcie lane. Right?
  4. TL;DR Is it anything to worry about? Is there anything that I will clearly see? I noticed something weird in a fight, but i didn't notice it enough to say what it was. (Graphic glitch wise) Is this related? Pc: GPU: nvidia 980m 8gb CPU: intel i7 6820hk RAM: 16gb Monitor: 3840 x 2160 15'' These are my settings (Look at the left, right is recommended). I have a stable 60fps. I do not feel like it lag at all. The game looks great. But in HW Monitor, it reports 100% frame buffer, and I assume that this is related to the memory bandwidth of the graphicscard? I honestly dont know, and google gave a few iffy results. "HW MONITOR STATS" (Highest only) CPU: 72%. GPU: 100% Frame Buffer: 100% Video Engine: 0% Bus Interface: 71% Memory 25%
  5. I've got a 15'' it's basically the same. They have the best support I've ever been in contact with. They came home to me the day after the problem occurred. Fixed it. The thing that annoys me the most is the black bars next to the monitor. Like between the display and the edge is a big "black" zone. Keyboard backlight is zones, not keys, so it honestly doesnt look that great. The battery acts as a UPS. THOUGH!! Performence WILL drop alot while on battery. Easily overclockable (If you chose the right part) Mine is running stable 3.9Ghz overclock. (6820hk) + 980m excluding the HDD it is 100% silent under low load (browsing etc) and its not very loud while having headset on. It lacks USB ports (Atleast mine does) And only has HDMI, not display port. It will limit you if you have a cheaper 144hz panel. None the less. I love my laptop, and I am 95% satisfied that I moved away from a big clumsy pc. Just the conviencience of having youtube in the kitchen without having to hold a phone, and skype in bed without having to hold the damn thing. It's quite wonderful like that. I dont like headsets on when I lay in my bed. You get a keyboard, mouse, mic, speakers, mouse, and display, wifi, all in one, without having to buy special parts. Less decisions to make. Being able to keep all your files wherever you go, without having to rely on the internet is amazing. It really does have a good battery, as long as you dont use the graphics card. I think I lasted around 13 hours or something just on battery once about a week ago. TBH. Its a laptop. Its not a fatpc. You will have to deal with peoples hate ^^.. The only other laptops that were of interest for me while ordering mine, was the MSI and Razer, but as Razers one isnt sold in my country that was excluded, and I've never used the MSI so I dont really know how it actually is using it.
  6. Rule of thumb, use the highest Cat* you can afford
  7. I do not believe you are correct. To my knowledge Cat5E and Cat6 uses the same pin layout, and the only difference is the shielding for the cables
  8. I have the 951 samsung 512 gb. Here's my benchmark of it.
  9. Nono. Hold on. My friend has the same problem, with the same setup (except gpu). This might have a connection. I assume you've tried different drivers (Newest, not newest etc?) What we tested on his setup: Change graphics card. Format. Virus scan. Drivers. Change Various settings. Also running at high CPU %. With battle.net up it drags 50% cpu, opening almost any game causes it to roof at 100%. Perhaps the CPU is just.. "dead"? Like.. It just is too old or something? It shouldnt be though. Just a theory.
  10. 1. Comment below! Tell us about the keyboard you're currently using, and why you want a new one. Built in laptop keyboard. (Alienware) Its very basic. When you tap a key, it feels like goo below it. I dont like it. The slightest ^^ Not only the membrane, but the "metallic" that holds it level, is too thin. The colors are so annoying. Because you cant have several colors. Because it uses "zones" and when the zones collide, it looks bad. I am looking for a new keyboard, to use at home. And use the built in on trips. I used Tesoro gear when I was at Dreamhack 2014. I fell in love with their products, but because lack of money and need for new things, I've had to settle. I had to get a high end laptop because of studies. Making me kinda broke to afford new things. Tesoro is personally the best company out there for my hand size for mice. Not tested this keyboard. But I believe its good ! :3 Best of luck everyone!!
  11. I dont think it would be a good idea to show my car here. It doesnt look original inside.. atleast? I bought the car to learn though. Which I have! Mitsubishi... You'll have to guess the modell. SO WHATS SO BAD? Failed to remove the door sidings, breaking the speaker covers for the treble. Didnt know what the sound proofing in the doors was, so i removed it. Lost a door handle cover.(indoors) The armrest in the middle of the car uses an old sheet of bedclothing. (I think someone peed on it, it got weird yellowish colors that cant be removed??) NO CLOCK. The clock was broken, so i removed it. Temp fixed it, but broke again, so looking for something else to use that space for. Maybe a Raspberry pi. Dashboard light is messed up, doesnt show speed below 40kmph or below 2000RPM. (Pointer works) Painted almost all the interior white, instead of the original plastic "wood" color. Cleaned the car inside and out. Because shit was nasty?.. Car from 1999. Accidentally hit a speedbump too hard, which I guess caused my Airconditioner to die. Removed the sparewheel. Whats goood? Atleast the bass hits hard. 2x Bass 12'' on a Torque T5.. Not the best, but good enough ^-^! Walking medic though.. Where the wheel used to be, is a huge bunch of medical supplies, first aids, extinguisher, essentials for survival (carcrash, stuck in the woods because of snow etc.) I love my car. Its my car. Its a mess, but its my car. And I love my car.
  12. Angled USB 3.0 jacks for my laptop. 3 usd for 2. Extension plugs for ethernet. Around 2 usd for 10. Mosquito nets for all my windows. USB 3.0 splitter, into 3 usb's and 1 ethernet. Great for troubleshooting. Pizza. <3 I want an Orbweaver.. I'm just scared I wont like it, because of the switches being too loud. Still dont want membrane though..
  13. Could it be sensors that are broken and report invalid results?
  14. The distro that kept me interested was Zorin OS. Even paid for it. I kept getting too annoyed at how the taskbar and "start button" worked on the other distros. Mint is okayish too.
