New Build: Need help finalizing
GoofyBiscuit replied to GoofyBiscuit's topic in New Builds and Planning
Do you know of any 300 series motherboards that are ryzen 2000 ready? Both keyboards are the exact same price for me. I had the K70 red backlighting before and i didn't find anything wrong with it for me personally. I think i will stick with the corsair. Thanks for the suggestion though! -

http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=43_1200_557_558&item_id=105846 oh whoops not including tax. forgot to add that. -
Hi, In the recent past, my pc was destroyed and i need a new one. I understand that the gpu and memory markets are insane rn, however i am in need of a pc. I need help looking over this build that I have put together because I have not very familiar with AMD in general. Including peripherals, I am able to spend $2600 - $2700 CAD including tax. I will be using the desktop for flight simulation (x-plane 11), light to moderate content creation, CADing (SolidWorks), gaming, and other general tasks such as doc editing. I would like to preferably stick with an AMD gpu as freesync monitors are much cheaper. I am not planning on OCing the cpu or gpu (not at least for a couple years). Here is the build: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/R9pQRJ Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Asus Zenbook UX430UQ fan noise: issue?
GoofyBiscuit replied to GoofyBiscuit's topic in Laptops and Pre-Built Systems
Alright, thanks for the help! -
I recently bought an Asus Zenbook UX430UQ, and have noticed that at even just idle, the fan seems to sound like I am heavily tasking the CPU. In reality, I am only running one application (Google Chrome, 1 tab) and CPU usage (according to Task Manager) is at 2%. Is there a problem with the laptop or is it just how it runs?

Need some help with reviewing this rig.

What about this? Go for the 1600, switch graphics card to radeon 580, and get an AIO? https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/P6FJ3F -

I had a feeling people would want me to go for Ryzen, I'm just not very familiar with it. Thanks! If I were to go 1600x what motherboard should I go for? Also what mobo chipsets are overclockable? -
I am trying to price this build around $1500 CAD, but it is ok if the price goes over by about another $100 CAD. This build is going to be used for cadding, flight simulator (x plane and microsoft fsx), and moderate gaming. I only am getting one monitor for now, but am thinking about adding another two later (monitors at least at 1080p). I am going to be running windows 10. Peripherals will be a keyboard, mouse, and external optical drive. A long story, but I am re building my previous pc with a few upgrades, such as new cpu architecture and case. Any help is appreciated. https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/FPTqZ8

Need Help with choosing mobo for new build
GoofyBiscuit replied to GoofyBiscuit's topic in New Builds and Planning
Oh yeah... I forgot about budget. Around the $200 price range. Any other suggestions? -
I need help finding a motherboard that fits my needs. With my previous build I feel I had bought a motherboard that, some of the features, I hadn't used. I don't know what type of information you would need to help me choose out a mobo so just ask. Some hopefully useful info: - case with window, so aesthetically pleasing - black and red colour scheme - I would like RAID support - would prefer MSI or ASUS - ATX - Intel Z270, Socket LGA 1151 -$200 CAD price range
