  1. Hello ya'll, just want to preface that I am not personally having this problem, rather a friend of mine. I've gone through most of the troubleshooting steps in my head and nothing is working so I come and ask around. Basically, my friend was playing a game and his PC just black screens in the middle of it. He turns off the PC and doesn't turn it back on till the next day where he is greeted with the same black screen (No BIOS Splash screen). He reset his CMOS with the reset button on his mother board (NZXT N7 Z590) and low and behold the PC display boots up fine. Its only when he shuts down the PC (with the button on the case or in windows) that the display will not boot up again. If anyone has any solutions that will be great!
  2. Sorry, the CPU is brand new. She got most of her parts from Amazon or Newegg I believe.
  3. Are you saying the CPU is dead or the Motherboard? Also my personal rig is using a AM4 board, but I would prefer to not stick a new CPU in it so I won't have to go through the process of my PC recognizing a new part and reinstalling windows.
  4. sorry for the late reply, but heres some update. I updated to F17b, Nothing. I used my 5800x to see if the CPU was the problem, it still didn't post. As of right now I have no clue what the problem might be.
  5. Update: I downgraded the BIOS from F15 to F14 just to see if anything changed and I'm still getting no post from the new CPU.
  6. Rev 1.1. I was told I had to make sure to check for that when download the bios.
  7. I did the latest stable update the one without a letter at the end of it. and no there isn't any visible damage to the CPU.
  8. Hello all, I'm building a PC for a friend and we are using a R5 5600X cpu with a B550I AORUS PRO AX motherboard. I knew the BIOS needed to be updated for the CPU to work, so I flashed the BIOS first but it still didn't post. Then I used my old 2700x to post and it did, the BIOS even says I am on the current stable version, F15, but whenever I put the 5600x back on it won't post. If anyone has any idea on what I can do that would be amazing.
  9. Bought the 5800x today because I decided to redo my entire build, going from the 6700k. Started putting it together, however when I went to test it to see if it would post, I wouldn't appear on the screen. Fans are on and everything. Made sure they were in the correct slots and I tried single channel. An Orange light flicked on saying it was a DRAM issue. I have a 32GB (2x16) kit from Crucial that im bringing over from my old build and it has been working fine since. I had a 16GB (2x8) lying around so I tried to see if that worked but nothing. I heard I had to update BIOS for the new 5000 chips, but I don't know how to do that without it posting to BIOS. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. 10. Nothing on the keycap and I haven't tried another device. Will do that now I don't think so since I bought it a couple years ago
  11. so i went to reddit and they were no help at all so maybe you guys can help me. My Corsair K65 LUX is typing the letter "o" either twice or not at all. It's starting to get annoying when typing papers and forms poosts that I have to keep going back and deleting any extra letters. Does anyone have a fix to this?
  12. Personally, I would go back to your Intel 4770. If you really want to rep the Red team though, aim for a Ryzen 7. The price to performance for any of those chips is well worth it and you won't be disappointed.
  13. cryorig H7. I use it to overclock my i7 6700k to 4.5ghz and it is running smooth as butter

  15. Everything is looking good from my POV. If you're planning to do some overclocking than I would keep the board, but if not I would look at B250 chipset to save an extra few dollars. In terms of Keyboard and Mouse, this is a perfect combo for a lot of people and I always suggest it for new builders as a nice start off point.
