  3. Hi so I have a decent motherboard (or so I thought...) it's an MSI z87 g43 which cost me around 75EUR back in the day. I've noticed that every audio device I plug into the motherboard gets some sort of static/noise. It's the most prominent in my microphones. I have tried using a 3.5mm jack connected microphone and a USB microphone...but they all suffer from the same noise (check file for a sample of it). Even my speakers produce a tiny bit of noise when not producing any sound. What can I do to solve this issue next to the obvious "throw your mobo in the bin" approach? Will a sound card help solve this or no? A little side note: my pc fans are really quiet so I don't think it comes from there. Thanks for reading, pls halp test.wav
  4. Hey there, I've had this MSI r9 280x 3GB for around 2.5 years now and when I first got it I noticed that it showed artifacts... at the start I just brushed it off since it didn't occur often, but since the card got older it started happening more and more. As of now I get artifacts on a daily basis. These are the sort of things I see frequently: https://i.ytimg.com/vi/qVkE04C61Ys/maxresdefault.jpg / http://i.imgur.com/MnMGPZY.png / https://s31.postimg.org/h1uqdsdgb/Screen_Shot_16_06_11_23_36_23_000.jpg I've gotten used to it but sometimes it happens so much on a single day that I get fed up This is one of those times... My GPU is this one : https://www.msi.com/Graphics-card/R9-280X-GAMING-3G.html#hero-overview As you can see it's factory overclocked which is the cause of the artifacts I guess... I've tried going into my Radeon settings and turning the GPU clock speed down from 10020Mhz to 980 etc but it seems to keep running at 1020Mhz http://i.imgur.com/Hidfj5w.png Anyone else know a solution for this keeping in mind my warranty expired? Thanks for reading !
  5. wow ok thanks guys for the quick reply
  6. Hi I wanna get a second monitor and the only port left on my Graphics card are 2 mini display ports and a DVI-I port... I've been looking around for some monitors and most of the cheaper ones (which I'm going for as 'off monitor' ) come with HDMI , VGA or DVI-D inputs... now my question is : can a DVI cable connect a DVI-I output on my pc to an DVI-D input on my monitor ? Or should i go with the display cable instead ? https://www.bol.com/nl/p/asus-vc239h-full-hd-ips-monitor/9200000045966968/?country=BE&suggestionType=browse This is the monitor I'm looking at right now. I'm looking for one that comes with a DVI cable out of the box to save money. Thanks
  7. No, pastebin doesn't have the same level of functionality we aim to offer developers.
  8. The web platform would have 99% of the functionality the client has , but there's just some things we can't do through a web interface. Private snippet repositories would be available for everyone for free but at a limited quantity. People would be able to go 'premium' for more private repositories and more team functionality through the client. But we want to deliver broad functionality on both sides of the project for free !
  9. We are aware of github's gist system but we aim to add more functionality through our web platform and client. Also : github isn't quite user-friendly when searching for specific code-snippets
  10. Hi For a school business project we need to research a product idea and get a feeling for the market and potential customers. Our idea ? We are aiming to create an online platform for programmers of all kinds where they can share , search and store CODE SNIPPETS. Next to the web platform we would also provide a client app with extensive team functionality and snippet synchronization functionality for your favorite IDE. Our target audience? YOU ! We'd like you to give us some feedback and see wether you are interested in our idea. If you could fill in this short google form (4 questions only !) that would be much appreciated ! Here's the link ! Google form Thanks for your feedback !
  11. damn what kind of stuff you need that much power for ?
  12. Hi I'm switching from my bulky gaming headset to a preferably more comfortable headphone/mic setup. I've already picked out the mic but I'm looking after a good pair of overear headphones for around 60 EUR , that are light and good to wear with glasses on...since that was my biggest problem with my last headset. Any advice for a choice around that price range ( give or take 5 EUR )? Thanks !
  13. I've got a messed up MSI r9 280x that artifacts all the time I'm lucky I don't have epilepsy or something... So ye upgrading to a new polaris card from AMD would be a soothing gift for my eyes !
