my monitor is vga but my tv is hdmi i dont get signal fromm my monitor but it displays fine on the tv

I recently installed a gtx 650 and it will display perfectly on hdmi but I get a no signal from my monitor. Please help

Gpu I have also disabled the motherboard graphics

I have correctly installed a Nvidia Geforce GTX 650 into my PC and I get a no signal from my monitor. Before it was only on temporarily I and lost signal while installing drivers. Any help with this issue will be appreciated.
