  1. pc build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Xfxzfv i also used this PCI-e extender but it doesn't seem ppp has a category for that: https://www.fractal-design.com/products/accessories/hardware/flex-vrc-25/black/ just to be clear there is no "windows shutting down" screen or anything. the screen freezes for a second, sometimes more. and the audio stops soon after, then ut hard shuts off and instantly tries to reboot. sometimes it seems its having trouble with this but since the screen im using is lazy with it's sleep mode i can not see if the pc is rebooting multiple times or if its taking unusually long to boot once. it first happend after it had been running for 3 or 4 hours when i was installing programs and gta 5 to test it. it rebooted in the launch screen. i tried this a few more times with variable time between and sometimes got all the way to online before it rebooted. so i first assumed it was thermals. i ran furmark for 10-15 minutes and the gpu stayed mostly in the 40-50 range while the cpu maxed at 60. i decided to quit that and started to look for possible software issues online (had already updated gpu drivers) but then the pc rebooted while i was just browsing the internet? and when i was trying gta multiple times earlier, i got further if the pc had been off for a while. my thermals are fine for my cpu and gpu are fine, and the reboots don't just happen while under peak load so the PSU being unable to deliver the voltage seems implausible. the only thing i can think of is the PSU is unable to cool itself properly. but that is pretty much a shot in the dark and i have no idea how to verify it. im very sorry but i wont be able to check bios versions or run new troubleshooting programs right now as im not at my computer right now but exams are starting soon and this is the last night i could spare time to write this post with a good conscience. hope to god someone here has any ideas but thanks for reading anyway.
