Can't tell you a definite answer since the 1060 isn't out yet but considering the rumours around the 1060 I would recommend the 1060

Yeah I agree with you Memories4K, AMD FX8350 are not worth it until they come out with Zen. Intel has them beat by a long run. I would spend the $400 bucks and get a good Devil's Canyon setup like a 4790K

I like simple cases better but I wouldn't mind all that much a "transformer-like" case either, lol.
 
Another nice case would be the Phanteks Enthoo Pro M Window which si roughly $70 but I don't know if it's worth the extra money over the other two. (all of these are currently on sale)

Thermaltake Versa N21 is pretty cool imo. its what I have in my picture there. its not the most budget case, but its still pretty cheap.

Honestly with your price range, just google a little best cases of 2016 under 100 bucks.

What is the exact processor. Without that we can't really tell. I mean I guess I could look up the socket type for the old motherboard and compare to the new, but that's too much work and I rather have you do it

The biggest down side I've heard about curved monitors is the potential for backlight bleed. Linus has mentioned this in a number of his monitor reviews. But from the sounds of things if they are well manufactured this isn't an issue.

Yeah stay with Asus X99 boards.
Because they are just better then any Msi out there.
