  3. +1 for corsair They make great cases with good airflow.
  4. perhaps it is not supported at all (under windows 10). It might be hepful if you posted the laptop model number and specs. btw, even if windows says that your device is installed and working, it might not work at all. Something like that happened to me with a bluetooth dongle. Device manager said it was installed but it never worked. Installed win 7 drivers and it did.
  5. try uninstalling the driver from device manager then install the latest driver from the manufacturer website.
  6. no, your cpu is fine , MSAA is glitched, at least in gta v. Read this: https://steamcommunity.com/app/271590/discussions/0/611703898450062585/ Try using the recommended settings
  7. Thats odd. I have the exact same fans with the spec-03 and I didnt have any issue installing them. Did you try the screws that came with the led fan of the case?
  8. Edit: you said black fans in that case https://www.amazon.com/Fractal-Design-Silent-Blackout-FD-FAN-SSR2-120-BK/dp/B00M9ZI15A/ref=sr_1_119?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1469675276&sr=1-119&keywords=fan+120mm+black
  9. Asus: Pretty much a Z170-A with better looks http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132567 GiGabyte, led lighting http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128941 AsRock: nothing in particular, looks ok I guess http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157629
  10. Not the prettiest case but I think It may fit your needs
  11. Lots of ppl in these forums dont even know that "bottleneck" means. Some even claim than anything lower than an i7 skylake will "bottleneck" your 980, 1070 or whatever. NOT TRUE. Yor cpu is barely 2 years old and most games are (still) not optimized for multicore cpus. You are fine for battefield 1 and anything than comes out in the next two years or so (playing at 1080p or even 1440p).
  12. Not a guide per se, but you can follow kyle's steps in this video: also this: https://www.ifixit.com/Wiki/Computer_System_Cleaning
  13. z170-A user here. Only low profile ram will fit with the regular evo install. As others pointed out, you can mount the fan in pull configuration as well
  14. Get the latest version posted on the asus website. Sometimes they have several versions of the same drivers. Avoid the beta drivers tho. install the chipset drivers first, then usb, audio, video. Make sure everything is working under device manager. Then install the asus AI Suite, turbo lan and EZ update.
  15. looks ok for the most part, not sure about the scrolling wheel on the side tho I want to move away from wireless peripherals mainly due to battery issues(Im tired of running out of battery in the middle of my work). not sure about the logitech but corsair's comes with that sensor http://www.tomshardware.com/news/corsair-m65-pro-rgb-gaming-mouse,31498.html so I guess Im gonna get corsair m65 thanks all for your help
  16. My current mouse(logitech M310) seems to be dying after 5+ years of use and I was wondering hows the M65 as a replacement? it seems rather inexpensive with good features, I might use it for light fps gaming and web browsing.
  17. As W-L pointed out, your best bet would be to get a 5.25" adapter. If I were you I would get something like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817994163
  18. Did you try removing the drive cage?
  19. it could be a grounding issue. Make sure the screws are not too tight, sometimes the motherboards standoffs may touch the circuit and stuff.
  20. I used macrium reflect free for my ssd and I love it
  21. I didnt watch the whole video but the first 2 minutes are full of BS. Amplitude does not determine speed, frequency does. Having more amplitude in a signal means the waves can travel further. Having a higher frequency means more bandwidth(more data can be transmitted). A signal amplifier will not make your internet faster. Moreover, any amplifier will boost signal AND noise (unless stated otherwise). I hate guys that make videos like this, besides he looks like a psycho...
  22. almost no difference, but more ram is better if you can afford it
  23. Im using the corsair AF120 (a smaller version of the AF140) in my case. They are set to silent in my asus Qfan config and they are pretty good. Nice airflow with no noise 90% of the time. You should consider the LED version if you want something a little more appealing.
