  1. then @Scruffy90 might be right, your device or cable is damaged
  2. I found something that could be useful https://www.wiknix.com/usb-device-not-recognized/
  3. your problem is not the usb driver then, you are missing the storage drivers. If your usb drive or external hdd dont work, but other usb devices do, then you need to install the storage/ chipset drivers.
  4. well yeah, the bracket should be all the way into the slot
  5. well everything looks ok, there must be something wrong with magician then. As a last resort, uninstall magician > restart > run CCleaner and registry fix >restart > install latest magician. http://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/minisite/ssd/downloads/software/Samsung_Magician_Setup_v497.zip if that doesnt work then Im out of ideas.
  6. can you read any info from the ssd using CrystalDiskInfo?
  7. For $300 you should get something with tempered glass. For instance:
  8. download these two: http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/misc/utils/Intel_Chipset_V101127.zip?_ga=1.40812322.1890640380.1465195754 http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/misc/sata/IRST_Win7-81-10_64bit_V14801042.zip?_ga=1.66026030.1890640380.1465195754
  9. first one is the intel storage drivers if i remember correctly, you need the second one plus the first driver under "SATA"
  10. Are you 100% certain that you installed all the drivers? if you did, your magician screen should look like this: try reinstalling all drivers just in case
  11. well if you get to the blue screen there are a few options to repair windows, but something tells me you have a driver issue. Magician software cannot read your sata information, Im thinking you are missing the chipset or storage drivers.
  12. Im just saying what happened to me. I was in the same exact situation with my ssd. I cloned my old hdd onto the ssd and then I switched to AHCI, blue screen. I let windows repair itself and then it worked
  13. a few things to consider : -you might get a blue screen -let windows repair itself -make sure all chipset drivers are installed and up to date, a new version was released like week ago
  14. Well, the corsair keyboards come with two usb cables, most people think that the second one is passthrough but it is not. if you are using usb 2.0 then you need both cables connected. If you are using usb 3.0 you just need the first one since a single usb 3.0 port can provide enough power for the keyboard.
  15. You know, for some reason this reminded me of the sixaxis controller for the ps3. It seemed like a good idea, but in practice no one would use it. At the end of the day, who whats to hold their mouse in the air just to play flight simulator?
  16. You need something like the NZXT GRID+
  17. Not sure about the size of the 540, but the spec series has similar layout to that one. Im using the spec 03 and the amount of airflow is insane with or without the drive cage.
  18. What is your current budget for the mb, cpu and ram? you could get those three for under $200 USD (skylake btw)
  19. It seems a little high, mine sits at 49C after 15 min of prime95.
  20. well, you wont get to 4.7 ghz or whatever on air thats for sure, but I think it can handle a decent overclock around 4.5 ghz depending on the silicon lottery.
  21. The mastercase seems like a better case overall. You can pretty much tear it apart and change anything you dont like
  22. sure, take a look http://pcpartpicker.com/list/3LFcqk
