your problem is not the usb driver then, you are missing the storage drivers. If your usb drive or external hdd dont work, but other usb devices do, then you need to install the storage/ chipset drivers.
well everything looks ok, there must be something wrong with magician then. As a last resort, uninstall magician > restart > run CCleaner and registry fix >restart > install latest magician. http://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/minisite/ssd/downloads/software/Samsung_Magician_Setup_v497.zip
if that doesnt work then Im out of ideas.

Are you 100% certain that you installed all the drivers? if you did, your magician screen should look like this:
try reinstalling all drivers just in case
well if you get to the blue screen there are a few options to repair windows, but something tells me you have a driver issue. Magician software cannot read your sata information, Im thinking you are missing the chipset or storage drivers.
Im just saying what happened to me. I was in the same exact situation with my ssd. I cloned my old hdd onto the ssd and then I switched to AHCI, blue screen.
I let windows repair itself and then it worked
a few things to consider :
-you might get a blue screen
-let windows repair itself
-make sure all chipset drivers are installed and up to date, a new version was released like week ago
Well, the corsair keyboards come with two usb cables, most people think that the second one is passthrough but it is not.
if you are using usb 2.0 then you need both cables connected. If you are using usb 3.0 you just need the first one since a single usb 3.0 port can provide enough power for the keyboard.
You know, for some reason this reminded me of the sixaxis controller for the ps3. It seemed like a good idea, but in practice no one would use it. At the end of the day, who whats to hold their mouse in the air just to play flight simulator?
Not sure about the size of the 540, but the spec series has similar layout to that one. Im using the spec 03 and the amount of airflow is insane with or without the drive cage.
well, you wont get to 4.7 ghz or whatever on air thats for sure, but I think it can handle a decent overclock around 4.5 ghz depending on the silicon lottery.
