  1. lol whatever buddy, reinstalling windows is like changing the motor of a car that doesn't start. OP must do everything he can before formatting.
  2. that code refers to missing drivers so totally unrelated to my issue. Try installing drivers manually, download the latest one from the manufacturer and use the "update driver" option under properties, select the downloaded folder > ok. Do not use the setup that came with the drivers.
  3. Overclocking is largely dependent on silicon lottery. Sure, a good mb helps but not as much. The difference is negligible, maybe 50 Mhz. If you need the extra features such as rgb headers and aesthetics then go ahead.
  4. I know it took me a while to navigate through the menus, but it should work. BTW, try deleting the upper and lower filters, then restart. Windows will install the generic drivers.
  5. I like Asus better, but he MSI z370 PRO CARBON AC looks nice.
  6. I had a similar case with my own computer, suddenly no usb ports would work, except 2.0 ports. What I did was to manually remove all registry entries associated to usb: -Open device manager, find the ports that dont work > right click > properties then write down the error code. -If you get error code 19,31,32,37,39 or 41 then do this https://www.repairwin.com/fix-usb-error-code-39-usb-not-working-error/ I would say first uninstall drivers, then delete registry entries> restart
  7. This mining craze is a big bubble. This is what will happen: -Crypto market crashes -Tons of used cards will flood the market -Next gen cards will be out by then, so no one will buy old cards except for budget builds We should not worry about the gpu market, but the memory market. RAM prices keep rising and this has been going on for almost 2 years now. Expensive flash = expensive gpus, SSDs and RAM. Some people even suggest that phone prices will rise as well this 2018.
  8. That kind of bsod is pretty normal when unplugging devices in use. No need to worry.
  9. are you using static or dynamic IP? if you are using dynamic then try refreshing your IP. the problem with dynamic IPs is that if they get blocked somewhere, the next "owner" will be locked out of that content as well.

  11. Like you said, the new type-c with PD is a bit tricky. Id said don't risk it. Most manufacturers make their chargers specifically for their devices and their devices only. That being said, try getting some aftermarket charger that support many standards. For example this: http://www.tronsmart.com/products/tronsmart-w2dt-48w-usb-pd-wall-charger-with-quick-charge-3-0
  12. Before returning your card, check your temps. You computer might be overheating.
  13. it depends on your temps AND the silicon lottery. The truth is no one knows for sure. Even if you had a killer watercooling system, a chip can only be overclocked so much.
