The Oddball got a reaction from Riddles11 in Will this build destroy games ?
One 2080ti > a Titan V.
In any case, NVLink isn't `that` great with the 2080ti, I would stick with one card. If you got money to blow, go for an RTX Titan.

The Oddball got a reaction from bleedblue in Looking to upgrade to the OnePlus 6T
IMO, the 6 is better than the 6t, and cheaper. The in-display fingerpring is slow as balls, and isn't that accurate. On top of that, the 6 is cheaper AND HAS A HEADPHONE JACK.

It needs a new battery, so either return it or replace the battery.

The Oddball got a reaction from Aleks NE in GPU upgrade, weird 750ti models on Ebay.
No harm in getting it, they have really high ratings, and its covered by money back guarantee. If it isn't a 750ti, they will refund you and you can keep the card

The Oddball reacted to ImNotThere in Crossfire w/ Laptop & Thunderbolt
mobile gpus are technically different cores so unfortunately no, nice idea though!

The Oddball reacted to 79wjd in Minimum SSD size
60gb would technically be enough for the OS and about 20gb worth of programs, but 120gb SSDs are usually about the same price as a 60gb variant. So you really shouldn't get less than 120gb.

The Oddball got a reaction from vanished in i5 4690k interesting test results
Just because you have a certain cooler doesn't mean it isn't throttling. Check anyway. I have a custom loop and my 7700k was throttling because I didn't put enough thermal paste on.

The Oddball reacted to i_build_nanosuits in 4770K with a 1060
some games like what?! there is absolutely no way man, i often see you in those threads claiming this and that but these things only happens to you all the time and it always end up with ''well, there has to be something wrong with your machine then''....cause i ain't seeing it...and you know that this haswell CPU at 4.8ghz is faster than a 7700K at 4.5ghz so it's basically a top dog CPU for gaming...since you can't really get anything ''noticeably'' faster for gaming, where do you go from there huh?!

The Oddball reacted to Bouzoo in To Freesync or not to Freesync
Well Vega 64 is an upgrade, and depending on the game he may get up to ~20 FPS, which is worth it on monitors with higher refresh rate. But not at the current price. I'd keep the 980Ti and wait for next round or a sale.

The Oddball reacted to Bouzoo in To Freesync or not to Freesync
To be fair, except Vega 56 or 64, AMD doesn't really have an upgrade from 980Ti. And both of those cost so much it is really not worth upgrading. How about going for a G-Sync monitor?

The Oddball reacted to samcool55 in SYSTEM FAN AT FULL SPEED SAFE?
Pros: good cooling performance.
Cons: can be loud AF and might wear the bearings out faster.
That's about it probably...
