  1. I can reliably recreate this issue now by stressing the GPU and CPU simultaneously (it's a bit of a brute force method, but it speeds up the inevitable). 3900x Gigabyte 2080 Super Gaming OC Asus ROG X570-f 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3600Mhz 1x Gen 3 Nvme SSD (:/C) 1x Gen 4 Nvms SSD (:/D) 1x 7200rpm HDD (:/E) 850w Corsair 80+ Gold CPU When gaming my monitors will lose signal after roughly 10 mins, I have done a fresh windows install, updated the BIOS for both motherboard and GPU, set bios to defaults, and updated drivers for the chipset, lan, audio (basically all the stuff on the asus website). I have no monitoring tools installed, nor ryzen master. When i run furmark and prime95 concurrently (with no DOCP) i have no issues for over 30 mins testing. With DOCP ENABLED, my screens black out after 5 mins. I have had this issue across 2 different motherboards from 2 separate manufacturers. I have also replaced my RAM, PSU, and GPU via rma return with new models. Please help I dont know what else to do anymore.
  2. Let me clarify (it was hard to think of a good title lol) I bought this case back when it was released with the idea that one day i'd build my own custom loop. That was quite a while ago now and being honest with myself, i'm never gonna get around to buying all the gear you need on top of all the parts in order to undertake this project. I was wondering if there are any vendors (in UK or EU) who sell pre cut/bent 'kits' for the pc o11 d distro block? i'm not expecting EK or anything, but maybe some boutique vendors do something like this? Thanks in advance
  3. unfortunately my room only has 2 power outlets, and they're very poorly placed so im running an extension to my desk (6 plug, surge protected etc). I did notice the usb cable that connects my audio interface was a bit sketchy recently (audio cuts out if you wiggle the cable a bit) so i've replaced it with another cable. I'll see if that makes any difference. Thanks for the help so far mate
  4. I got some new display port 1.4 cables on friday ( i thought mayyyybe it was a bandwidth thing? ) i'll try and touch-test the vrms though. I ran superposition when i first got the replacement card to check everything was cool and ran the 1080p extreme benchmark, everything was cool, temps on the gpu itself dont get above 55degrees, average fps of around 55 for the test, no weird artifacting or any other weirdness. I use an m-audio m-track as my audio interface https://m-audio.com/products/view/m-track-plus-mkii 2x m-audio monitor speakers (plugged into the interface) 1 usb mic bluetooth headphones
  5. Hello all, I've been trying to debug this issue for about 2 months now and i've finally broken (and so has my wallet). To give you a bit of backstory i recently upgraded my PC: X570 Aorus Pro 2080 Super Gaming OC R9 3900X 32GB Venegance Pro 3600mHz Case: Lian-li pc o-11 dynamic 9x corsair ml120 (3x top intake, 3x bottom intake, 3x side exhaust) 360mm aio on cpu 360mm aio on gpu (with kraken g12) 850w 80+ gold psu Suddenly when gaming with friends (never solo) my monitors would randomly switch to power save mode, however my apps are still running. The only fix was to hard reboot, but it would inevitably happen again as soon as I went back in game. I RMA'd the card and recently received my replacement which was the 'Waterforce' version of the card, now I have a kraken G12 which I've mounted to the card as I dont have a custom loop. So I'm still getting the problem but I can only seem to replicate the issue when Im playing with friends, if I play solo (even world of warcraft so this kinda nullifies the multiplayer bit but whatever) I don thave these drops in signal at all. The only thing I can think is that maybe the memory/vrm's on the graphics card arent receiving enough air flow? The G12 has a 92mm fan running at 100% but maybe theres just not enough air in my case? (lian-li o11 dynamic), I have 9 fans in there you would think that would bring in enough? I really dont know what else to do here, its driving me nuts. has anyone has an experience like this before? any help would be greatly appreciated.
  6. I tried installing windows to my other m.2 (my old one) before i bought the new drive. What makes this weird is that whenever i power off the machine manually and reboot, it starts up fine, it's only an issue when i 'restart' from windows. I've had a look on google regarding my bios and there have been a number of complaints with this new bios version (although i was having exactly the same problem with my older bios too) so i'll try reflashing after work but i'm not very hopeful tbh. The only other thing I can think of is that my graphics card isn't properly seated, basically the large plastic cover that sits on the IO heatsink actually covers a small part of the area where my GPU sits, it doesn't fully block the GPU but it does look like it might be mounted eeeeever so slightly at an angle (see image and comment below) See above the x16 slot at the rear of the board, just under the IO, that plastic lip, i'm concerned that my graphics card is being impeded by that bit of plastic. 7. 1. BIOS version - F20a (latest) 2. yes the 'boot' LED is active 3. I'm not very experienced with event viewer, there's loads of stuff in there but i'm not sure what to look for. is there a way of exporting the log so i can upload it here?
  8. I've recently upgraded my PC (pretty much all of it) and everything seemed fine till i was playing GTA online with some friends and started crashing. Now I know that game is riddled with issues so I spoke with Rockstar support thinking this would be an isolated issue. Anyway then I started to to notice my experience in windows was starting to be a little bit choppy so I said screw it, i'll just reinstall windows and hopefully everything will be fine. When i go to install, the installer tells me i cant install windows in the drive i just had it installed on (some error code i cant recall), so now i think ahh, maybe my hard drive is borked (samsung 950 pro m.2) so i order a new drive, install that, and get the same error on install. I reset my BIOS and was able to install, but now i cant reboot properly. What i mean by that is when I reboot, windows shuts down and then just before it loads the mobo splash screen it freezes. The only way i can get the computer to boot properly is to hard shut down and power on again (and there have been a few occasions where i've had to do this a couple of times before it works). So before i spend more money on new stuff i might not need, i've tried to run a few tests to highlight the component in question. I ran memtest86 last night, no issues gpuMemTest, no issues ram benchmark, no issues I'm completely stumped, I dont wanna RMA my mobo (what i think it is) without knowing for sure that's the issue. Does anyone have any ideas? If it matters much here's my hardware: Gigabyte X570 aorus pro - (mobo) Gigabyte RTX 2080 super gaming oc 32GB corsair vengeance pro 3600mhz ryzen 3900x sabrient rocket nvme 4.0 1TB m.2 samsung 950 pro m.2 Thanks
  9. Thanks for all the advice everyone tbh I hadn't really considered the used market (for obvious reasons in the current climate) but it might be worth a look.
  10. Heheh that's the chair I currently own :P It's not a bad chair and great for the price, but it has some drawbacks. The headrest doesn't tilt, and it's positioned too far back for me so it's kinda pointless. The arms only adjust up & down, and the biggest issue is the static! my god I've never had a chair which turns me into a capacitor before! It's kinda nuts.
  11. Hello all, I've been searching for an office chair that has a headrest and fully adjustable arms (by that I mean being able to move the arms forward/backward as well as up & down). I'm usually at a slight recline in my chair and with my current one if I want to rest my arms properly I have to move my arms quite far forward (it's just awkward). Does anyone know of any good chairs that aren't a Herman Miller (Google really wants me to buy one apparently)
  12. I've recently given my pc a bit of an overhaul, and I've got 3 rgb strips + rgb on my aio. Now the splitter that came with my aio has 3 connectors ( 2 strips + cooler). I want to connect my third rbg strip but the connector is like the one I've attached and when googling for rgb splitter cable I can't find any with this sort of connector. Do they exist? I would assume they do as my aio has the aforementioned 3-way splitter but I can't find out what it's called for the life of me! Thanks in advance!
  13. For anyone who runs into this problem in the future, make sure the screws on your back plate are TIGHT! I got sick of having 85+ degrees when gaming and decided to throw caution to the wind, cranking the screws are tight as they would go. And wouldn't ya know it, max temps are a much more reasonable 70 degrees now! Phew!!
  14. i was hoping not to resort to pushing my fan speed even higher, its already louder than i want it to be. i'll try and play around with the prios and background processes though, thanks mate
  15. yeah i replaced the thermal paste (i was hoping that would solve it) but no difference. i'll keep trying but thx for the advice
