I also personally find the Kingston A400 to be much more reliable than the 970 pro. See what subjectivity does without any facts such as failure rates? 

You'd be aiming for something with good external antennas. Dual band is also a must.
 
I have a ASUS PCE-AC68 and it performs exactly the same as my wired connection.

Is Enhanced Sync turned on? If so, make sure it is turned off -- there have been a lot of issues with that lately on the 5700 [XT] cards and could be related if the 480 is affected also.

Can't really help you without knowing what you're trying to do. In what situation are you being bottlenecked?

Then you want a case that supports ATX motherboards. You can get midtowers or full towers. Full towers offer the best compatibility, but are fairly large.

Personally I would go with the Gigabyte card. The MSI cooler doesn't look particularly effective, and if what 5x5 said is true, definitely avoid it.

Unfortunately BTC is so, so much harder to get now compared to 2013/2014.

They both have almost the same PCB.

PSUs degrade over time, i suggest you get a new one at least 430 to 500w. 245 watt should cut it but not a good idea.what psu do you have?

I am fully committed to neat window interiors so that is a major factor. The airflow is my only concern, however.
There isn't a lot of content/reviews on this case so finding people who have experience with it is hard to come by - guess I'll be the few!

Yes, they will be compatible.

I have used dozens of GLS cables in the past, so I'd recommend those as I've had little to no issues with them.

Cable quality was fine, no issues at all. However, these GLS cables I used were used a lot from stage to private recordings so they had some wear and some eventually failed. Private use will be fine, however.

Yes, I use mine while biking or dirt biking and it does pretty damn good.

My only issue is occasional digital noise, but most of it can be removed in editing.
