  1. Ah nice, so I am not crazy. Thanks for that clarification.
  2. Hmmm... I did recently buy an 850 evo for my own PC.... although i did not see any software, I will have to double check on that when I get home today.
  3. Taking the time to find which files I need to move over and which I do not would take forever, especially when counting in hidden files, system files, etc. Software to me would be the easiest to alleviate this is to just clone it. As well, the old HDD is not on its last leg, it has some juice left in it, but it is in it's failure stages, and he is not willing to play with fire and just keep letting it run till it randomly crashes.
  4. Hello everyone! I come to you today with a question. What cloning software is the best for cloning and old failing HDD to a new HDD? My buddy has a failing drive, and we need to clone it over fast. I do not want to just reinstall everything because this is a pre-built acer machine and for some god-awful reason, some of the main components are on both the HDD and SSD. (I am sure it is common and I am just a fool) So to the main attraction, suggestions on what software to use. I am ready for free options hopefully, but if need be (i.e. Free options do not offer what I need) I will accept paid options as well. But more than just that, I also need to know what to look for in this software. Best components, ease of use, certain features to look for? I appreciate all the help I can get! As always there will be much praise for any and all!
  5. pretty sure that would be your biggest issue. Unless applied perfectly, there will be blobs of paint on certain blades, which will make it wobble.
  6. I just bought the Cryorig H7 as well. I added another corsair 120 on the back, and the temps for my I5-7600k OC'd to 4.5Ghz have maybe changed 1-2 degrees. It is such a small amount that it could just be fluctuation. I would say it isn't worth it, unless you just have spare fans, and spare headers lying around. A better use of that fan would be on the case to be honest.
  7. The Define S seems like a good contender. Its got a bit more room than the Define R5 by removing the 5 1/4" bays. Thanks for the suggestions!
  8. The reasoning behind the side panel, is that this tower is going to sit under my desk, not on top, so it is not going to be a showpiece. It's not that I hate the clear side panels for any reason, it is just that my build does not warrant it, with the random jumble of parts I have assembled. It seems like the fractal design cases are some of the best quiet cases on the market, especially for the price point, so I will take a look in to them.
  9. Thanks man, I have a bit to think about in the case department lol.
  10. @deXxterlab97 Thanks a bunch!
  11. @deXxterlab97 Yeah, I get the feeling as time goes on the clear side panel is getting ever un-avoidable. These are great suggestions and I will look in to them. Last question, I promise, What are your thoughts on the Fractal Design Define R5?
  12. @deXxterlab97 Thanks, I will more than likely end up going with that then. As for a case, any suggestions? As I said, I don't care about clear side panels, and if it is quiet, cool, if not its fine, it just has to have ample room for cable management, and fitting parts into it.
  13. @deXxterlab97 I am an idiot, I read it wrong sorry. So would this PSU be a good option? https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151118 Would it have all the connectors I would need?
  14. @deXxterlab97 After consulting the list, and looking at the whitelist, it seems like the conflict on almost everything. Like SeaSonic, on the tier 1 is many products from them, the whitelist says avoid them at all costs. And the EVGA is the G2, or NEX good or bad? I am unsure.
  15. Think you may have misread my post. Thanks for the reply, but the case has a large window, no need for me, and the main complaint from reviews is limited space. As with the power supply, its nice, but fully modular does not matter, and I am using an I5, not an I7.
