  1. I bought a 240GB SSD few years back and I have used up the space. I'm planning to buy another 240GB SSD and configure Raid 0 with it. But there is an issue. I can't find the exact same SSD model anymore. Is it still possible to configure Raid 0 with different brand/model but with same capacity?
  2. Can't wait for MKBHD to visit LMG's studio and do the similar things to Linus. That will be interesting to watch.
  3. is it really worth the money for the RED camera? I don't even have an 8k monitor yet. With that amount of money, I can buy a new house in my country. after watching this video, it's making me feel bad for not supporting Linus enough.
  4. I tried. But the drive is not showing in my windows explorer nor Disk Management Setting.
  5. My motherboard with RAID controller has just spoiled recently. Just recently, I bought an used budget motherboard to replace it. Then I realise that the cheap board does not have support for RAID 1. Now, I'm not able to retrieve my files in my RAID 1 hard disk. Can someone help me? Is there any program that can read RAID1 disk? I just want to get my files back.
  6. Yes. I did. I tested the memory stick one-by-one. Previously the memory was only 8GB. The only upgraded memory to 16GB last year with the guidelines from the members at https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/617177-pc-unstable-after-increasing-ram-from-8-to-16gb/.
  7. Just tried to clear the CMOS by shorting the jumper in motherboard as per instructions in user manual. The issue is still there. By the way, I'm not able to enter the BIOS using "DEL" key. The system restarts itself before having the chance to enter.
  8. This just happened to my computer early today when I tried to turn on my computer. I have no idea what's wrong with my system. Can someone help me out? First of all, I was greeted with this message. I did not do any extensive overclocking on my computer besides the memory upgrade that I did nearly a year ago with the assistance of community here. Everything has been working fine until today. Then, I press any key to continue. The system restarted itself and issue started to occur. It keeps on restarting non-stop (see video below) until I hold the power-off button. No matter what I do, I'm still stuck in the same screen. Things that I have tried: 1) Tried to enter BIOS but unable to do so. 2) Remove the previously installed memory. 3) Remove all the secondary hard disks with only boot drive attached. 4) Double check if all the cables and RAM are plugged in correctly and tightly. 5) Remove all USB cables besides keyboard and mouse. My computer spec: Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge Gigabytes Z68X-UD3P-B3 Corsair Vengeance 8GB or 16GB Asus Strix GTX960 Kingston HyperX SSD 240GB Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold 800W
  9. I want Linus to be in YouTube Rewind. Surprisingly, Ryan from NigaHiga is not in it this year.
  10. I am planning to build a server for Active Directory. I just wondering if the standard PC components are compatible with Windows Server 2016 operating system? Is there any specific hardware requirement in order to install Windows Server 2016? Anyone has any hardware recommendation for the server? I'm running a small office only with 4 to 5 workstations. The server does not require any hardware redundancy since it is not a production critical server.
  11. Just installed the memory back and enable the XMP profile. Seems like it is working fine now. Never thought this issue can be solved so easily with a flip of an option Thanks guys.
  12. Nope. It is not enabled. Everything is in its default setting. I can try that later. Is that an overclocking option? Actually, I'm not familiar with overclocking. It is something very new to me at this moment. Just in case if you need to see the RAM module spec, see picture. I have taken out the new RAM temporary. I will put it back and test after I gather more information here.
  13. Yes. I tried that. The newer kit works by itself.
  14. First of all, I have a 5-year old PC that has 2x4GB memory. Just recently, I wanted to increase the memory to 16GB (4x4GB). After increasing the memory, my PC becomes unstable with frequent BSOD or unable to boot. These are the memory kits I tried to install. Older kit is on left side. Newer kit is on the right side. Both are the same model and identical. Below are the screenshot of the BIOS information. After the installation, I did not configure anything. Is there anything that I should do to ensure a stable system? I do not have the intention to overclock anything. My motherboard is Gigabytes Z68X-UD3P-B3 with Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge. Btw, this is my first post. Please forgive me if I have posted in the wrong forum section.
