Hey, next time could you  add the price of the units next to their name? It would save us budget psu shoppers the pain of looking up each psu to find the cheapest one for the tier.

i don't really see the use for this in consumer devices. the design should prevent battery's from reaching this stage, its just going to take up space and money. i can see some applications where its usefull but definitly not in phones or anything handheld like that. maybe for industrial enviroments.

FanBlade reacted to yookwh in Linus's Disturbing Trend to Clickbait
I don't really know if I would constitute those as "clickbait." Nothing about these thumbnails are "clickbait," more of "This is a growing trend of how people make their thumbnails." I'm guessing that Linus and his team looked into how thumbnails are formatted, experimented with this a bit on their videos, and probably saw an increase in viewership, which led them to make them.

Do I like them? No. I prefer the older styles, in which you saw a clear picture of the product/concept with a nice text title in there. But would I say that these new thumbnails are clickbait? No. Just a trend.

    Article from BBC: http://www.bbc.com/news/technology-38637003

This was the response in enforcing the Republic Act 9775 or Anti-Child Pornography Act of 2009. NTC said that they ordered all ISPs to block porn access in January 14th but it's now the 17th here (UTC +8h) and I still have the access to it even without a VPN.

With that said, I get why our government did that. Porn can give children unrealistic expectations when it comes to sex and young children shouldn't be exploited for pornography at all. But, I fear that enforcing this could lead to some other forms of censorship even for the legit ones like activism or might be used against freedom of speech (Article III, Section IV). It's true that parents and officials have the moral responsibility to protect children but I think conservatives in our country will use it out of the context to incite slut shaming and negativity towards sex. The topic of sex education alone is a taboo in most schools here and I fear that this legislation will empower that. Besides, there are ways to get around government censorship and VPN blocking. Some VPN services like TunnelBear and Nord have a feature to defeat VPN blocking. So I'd rather suggest that parents should be more tech savvy than their kids like using Parental Controls on a separate user account and placing the home PC at the living room. Make sure that the kid's user account is a limited and not admin one and for once, sex ed should start from home and not from porn. I think that once kids asked a question about sex, it means that they're ready to know about it like how babies are made because no matter how much we hide porn from our kids, they'll know about it someday from someone.

Additional info: Philippines ranked highest in PornHub visits in 2016. So this could be another reason why the government is enacting porn bans on ISPs.
UPDATE: Internet Service Providers and wireless carriers who failed to comply will be fined PHP 500,000 to PHP 1,000,000 (USD 10,021 to 20,042.09) for first offense and PHP 1,000,000 to PHP 2,000,000 (USD 40084.18) and revocation of license to operate for second offense. (Source here)

Right, they shouldn't, but those kinds of things are the reason why there is a push for it. Hell, a email to parents on how internet safety works and how to censor your child from those kinds of things would be ten fold better than what they're doing. If the parent feels that their child needs to be censored then they will do it, if they don't feel that way then they'll let their child explore. Atleast it gives the parent an option

Indeed. If I'm an internet service provider and my government asked me to ban child pornography, how am I supposed to do it? Create an algorithm that specifically blocks porn videos marked with child porn? This is very much like looking for a needle in a haystack since looking for titles and tags that may suggest child porn isn't going to work. Also, banning porn might also ban some other legit stuff like lessons in the reproductive system for elementary school or thesis/dissertation researches about sex and sexuality.

Banning porn because "children shouldn't watch it" is like banning cars because children shouldn't drive. Or banning alcohol because children shouldn't drink it.

Why ban something for adults just because something might be harmful to children?

Complete rubbish. The game doesn't see a dual core, it sees four logical cores in either case. This is an i3, not a Pentium and even some pentiums now have hyperthreading.
