  1. I know Blizzard download reports in MB/s. (110 mbps = 13.75MB/s) I can get the my laptop to saturate the whole 300+mbps on speedtest just fine. Download things at that speed at 40ish MB/s from other services. I was also able to do it before a couple weeks ago on my desktop at normal speeds just like my laptop. Now all of a sudden I am not going further than 120mbps even though they are all the exact same situations. (Same cable, same time of day, same amount of users)
  2. Hi, I have been doing some testing and randomly my computer has started to get a slower mbps for downloading. I get about 100-120mbps download and 15 upload when I am paying for 300mbps. I used my macbook pro 2012 and the same exact set of cables and I am getting my advertised speeds of 300+mbps wired. I switch back to my desktop and the slow speeds are return. I have updated my drivers to the latest ones so I am not sure what the issue is. Motherboard is a Asus b350-itx. CPU is Ryzen 7 1700 16GB of RAM... Etc not a bad system or bottleneck by any means. Windows 10 Network settings says my "Ethernet Speed 1.0Gbps" Everything is minimum cat5e and GBIT speeds. In a blizzard downloader I am getting about 14-15mb/s download so it isn't just speedtest.net being funny. Thanks for the help!
  3. Hey guys! Every year since it has started I have been going to LTX. I love the event and seeing new people with the same interests as me. Everyone is so nice! Also, for all three years I have gone to LTX I have made a video for each of them. (2017, 2018, and now 2019) I hope the ones who unfortunately could not make it can watch it and get a small taste of what it actually is like to experience the Linus expo. Here is this years video and the previous years are in the description below I managed to record and then edit this all within the same day. (Little challenging for me when I know a small amount about Adobe Premiere Pro) Thanks for watching! I hope to see some familiar faces next year at LTX 2020!
  4. I have a dynamic address. It has a serial port, but I have no serial cables to configure it. (The switch older and just given to me second hand) I should probably purchase one... I could factory reset it
  5. Hey guys, I have an older 24 port gigabit switch from dell. (Powerconnect 5324) Great for my purposes of connecting systems through the house, but I just have a small issue that I am not sure if it's something I can fix. Anyways, the whole network is setup but lets say I turn my PC off then on, it takes about a minute once inside of Windows for my network to finally be discovered. Or just plugging in an Ethernet cable for the first time takes about a minute for it to recognize it. Putting a router in between my PC and the switch on the network solves that issue, but is there another way around this? Perhaps leaving my PC as always on in the settings? Router 1 -> Switch -> PC = Slow to connect to a network Router 1 -> Switch -> Random Router -> PC = Regular time to connect to a network Thanks!
  6. Hi! I have a couple of older dell servers as well as a spare 24 port network switch. But I have no idea what to do with them! I already have a basic NAS PC hooked up to my already in use 24 port switch for data backup for all my home PCs. It only gets turned on if I am going to do a file backup. (Dual Core, 4GB of RAM, 3TB of Storage) 2U Poweredge 2950 Xeon E5450 4GB of DDR2 Couple of 146GB 15k RPM Drives T300 Dell Tower Servers Xeon X3353 4GB of DDR2 Couple of 146GB 15k RPM Drives They are also very loud and unnecessary for my use case. Any ideas what I should do with them?
  7. I see that, is there an AIO for my graphics card that I could use?
  8. Looking to buy a water cooling kit for my GPU and CPU... I don't want to spend a fortune. https://www.ekfluidgaming.com/ek-kit-a240g I was looking at this, but it says it is not compatible with my GPU. Specs: Ryzen 7 1700 Asus b350 ITX Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 1080 Define Nano S Anything I can do that is similar to this? Thanks!
  9. There was a lot to cover! I hope Linus does a good job showing it off on his channel in better depth and quality.
  10. Delete if not allowed.... But I made a LTX 2018 Vlog! It features Linus unboxing Gucci Sandals, projects they made on their channel, as well as some funny moments! Gucci Sandals Unboxing Minutes 1:12 - 7:45 -removed-

  12. I am in charge of building a system for the school to edit with and play with VR since we got a HTC Vive. We already have a system with a 1070ti in it so I might as well build another system with a 1070ti and with a SLI capable motherboard for when students want to try random things. Like Grand Theft Auto on 5 monitors or whatever...
  13. https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132986&cm_re=x370_prime-_-13-132-986-_-Product Can this motherboard do dual 1070ti's? I know NVIDIA requires two lanes to run at 8x or higher for it work, it says it does.
