6700K Takes advantage of the new Z170 Chipset from Intel, and Supports DDR4 Memory with a 4.2 base clock speed. The 4790K has a slightly lower clock speed at 4GHz and uses a haswell pins instead of the new skylake. And the 4790 supports only DDR3 Ram. I would advise the 6700K because its overclocks at higher GHz and supports faster DDR4 Memory

Its from personal experience. I had a computer with a OEM copy of Windows 7. I changed the ram. Then it said "you have three days to activate" I put in the product key and it said it was already redeemed. I called the Microsoft Windows Support and nothing. 1 (800) 642-7676 and  (888) 571-2048.

The key was already redeemed on that computer and the computer was used for 1 year. The key has not been redeemed before me it was a direct purchase from Microsoft in 2012

That is not full proof, as his account @ LinusTech was called Linus Sebastian and now is called Linus Tech TIps (With Spaces, there shouldent be spaces) before the hack and had a different picture. This picture could been taken from a video.
