  1. In this case GPUGrid does not supply work to AMD GPUs, so you will be out of luck with that project.
  2. Since it probably got buried in the thread here is the podcast of that:
  3. Well it seems those participating in milkyway@home something exploded about 10 days ago, and it has been limping...
  4. Since this is related to BOINC, I present to you updated munin(if you ever used https://munin.kiska.pw/munin/) New feature: Grafana https://grafana.kiska.pw/d/boinc/boinc?orgId=1 https://grafana.kiska.pw/d/boinc-log/boinc-log?orgId=1 2 new dashboards, one linear and the other log base 10. These dashboards feature numerous graphs some the same from munin and new ones. Graphs include: Results(ready to send and in progress) Workunits(Assimilation, Validation and Deletions) Transitioner backlog NEW: Compute Performance NEW: Per app results(ready to send and in progress) NEW: Per app runtime(min, avg and max) NEW: Per app user count NEW: Status(offline or online) NEW: (HTTP)Response Time NEW: Uptime percentage gauge Project selector on top so no more endless scrolling to find the project of choice also on top is date picker to change time range of data
  5. While Ethereum itself is moving to PoS, Ethereum classic is still PoW and I haven't heard if they will move to PoS, there are quite a few ethash coins out there.
  6. I do want to know what will happen with consumer protection as I outlined a few posts ago: Cause I can see NV doing this mining nerf, then the one or two GPU miners who mine when they aren't playing games going "why is my hashrate half that of someone else's with the same card"
  7. I am going to chime in from a consumer protection perspective. And I think limiting mining performance is going to be bad if you're being told that you can't do something on a product. Also this sets a precedent and NV can decide to not allow scientific applications to run of Geforce cards as an example. University research ain't that well funded, look at how well seti@home was run Also I am not sure how well this will jive with the ACCC given almost none of the retailers will tell you that mining perf has been nerfed. https://www.accc.gov.au/business/treating-customers-fairly/consumers-rights-obligations Specifically:
  8. This is more for @leadeater: https://munin.kiska.pw/munin/ibercivis-day.html Also I don't think we can glean anything from it, cause they've set their update rate to... once per hour
  9. Your not meant to If you know how to read the server status page then sure
  10. Or if you want you can use Munin Also hello, I am kiska from TAAT
  11. I am sure someone will DMCA IA Enjoy
  12. I guess that is the nature of Asian culture, research before you buy, otherwise you'll get scammed, or in this case pay too much for something. And that is where the culture of haggling comes from as well. See Collin Abroadcast's channel If it does come out early for you, I guess its too much of a hassle to benchmark it for us?
  13. Source: https://www.techspot.com/review/1749-battlefield-ray-tracing-benchmarks/ So cut perf about 60% or more to get more realistic reflections... I think not, at least for a fps. And this certainly doesn't reflect the price.
  14. Actually if labor had their way 93% of Australia would be on Fibre to the Premises, so the bottleneck would have become ISP's ability to purchase enough bandwidth. Then the 2013 election happened and Malcolm went on about how he would do it "cheaper, faster, sooner" or some variant of that slogan, and now here we are with MTM(aka Multi-technology Mix(aka Malcolm Turnbulls Mess)). And now we have 26% FTTP, 44% FTTN/dp/B and 30% on HFC. However those numbers are somewhat misleading since they are from the 2013 strategic review, and have changed. Labor had scenario 1 and 2, liberal(coalition) had scenario 3, 4, 5, and 6. As you can probably tell, those costs have ballooned Source: https://www.nbnco.com.au/content/dam/nbnco2/documents/nbn-co-strategic-review-report.pdf
  15. The job of NBN was to improve infrastructure and provide everyone with a minimum of 25 mbps connection speed by the end of 2016. We can see how that went. At the same time make enough money for the government so that it can't be included in the budget, otherwise the deficit would be bigger than it currently is. NBNCo has to get $52 from every user(ARPU - average revenue per user) for it to be profitable(enough), which means charging for things such as CVC(aka bandwidth), AVC(connection cost), datacentre costs, installation costs, etc etc. Now I have posted a few analysis from last year that should still be valid today since the new pricing construct is not in place, I believe they come into effect on the 1st of July 2018.
  16. I was gonna leave some graphs from gamers nexus here. But instead I'll leave the link to the article here: https://www.gamersnexus.net/hwreviews/3288-amd-r5-2600-2600x-review-stream-benchmarks-gaming-blender/page-2 Or here: I am gonna say this, if he wants to stream + play games on the same machine at the same time, then the 2700x should suffice, and should be cheaper too since it includes an adequate box cooler, and the am4 platform is cheaper
  17. Here is Hardware Unboxed review: Also really good that I didn't have to do a mega thread
  18. In the tone of "Your call could not be connected. Please check the number and try again" "Your browser could not load Sydney trains timetable, please check your browser settings and try again. JS not found" Pretty much Sydney trains site is full of js interactivity
  19. So this might be patronising, but I did include a ton of graphs which I scrubbed and copied from Hardware Unboxed review
  20. But you have to remember that intel/amd hybrid has (almost)double the CUs of Vega 11 so it was highly unlikely besides the memory bandwidth is heavily constrained here maybe if they add 2GB of HBM it may be better utilised. The problem with APUs is the iGPU portion is always underutilised
  21. Experience is all about individual people. For example I am fine having my frame rate at 30 fps. So this APU will absolutely be a smooth gaming experience for me. And I am sure most <16 year old will agree with that
  22. Here is a sample graph from one of the videos in case you didn't watch it:
  23. I have added as much info as I can @Ryujin2003 I can try to add more, but I am tired its 2am here in Sydney, I stayed up all night for this release.
