  1. Recently, I was offered to become a seed home for Welink. I want to understand more about the service but I haven't found many videos or reviews about it. This is probably because they haven't expanded that far, right now it seems like Henderson and Las Vegas have been getting connected to it. Currently I have Cox WIFI with a 500 download speed and 10 upload speed. They stated that they're offering $1/month plan with up to 940 download and upload speeds for seed homes. I don't understand much about technology and the terminology of seed homes and anchor homes. Does anyone have experience with this and what possible problems could occur? Could it be a scam? Will I be responsible for anything? Should I take the deal? Thank you in advance for any advice you can give.
  2. Thank you! It's funny I saw one of your posts earlier when I was researching for my case. I guess you really do make good on your word.
  3. Thank you so much! It says P4.10 so I'm guessing I don't need BIOS update. So all I need to do is get GPU. I'll probably just give my Dad my gtx 970 since I don't play games as much or ask for the 750 ti I got for my brother. I don't think that's too much of an ask considering he's only been playing Huniepop ever since I made it for him in 2016 :P. I was expecting him to play more on it like Nier Automata or any other JRPGS but he only plays on his switch. My last plan would be just to buy a cheap GPU off ebay, any recommendations? My dad isn't interested in games.
  4. Would you recommend a replacement? I've never returned a package before on Amazon and it seems I have until March 28th to send it back. Having trouble finding out if I have to pay shipping fees to return it. I'm thinking of just calling up stores tomorrow and seeing how much it would cost to update it.
  5. I already check my connectors. The CPU Fan and Chassis Fan both work. The PSU turns on. The red and blue light of the case work. I don't see any lights on my mobo but I don't think the mobo has an led indicator. The RAM is fully in the slots.
  6. Recently assembled a mini itx build for my dad but it won't post. I believe it's a BIOS update problem so I'm wondering what's the best solution. Roast me all you want for the parts, the last time I built a PC was in 2016. When I originally was going through the process of making it I thought I could BIOS update without a CPU. I quickly realized my folly because this mobo can't do that. I don't have another CPU because I only have a i5 6600k from all the way back in 2016. Should I just try returning the CPU/Mobo. Or would it be more cost effective to just get a tech shop to update my BIOS with an 8th generation CPU? If there are any other reasons why it might not post I'm open to suggestions. Also, I'm curious about the red light at the bottom front end of the case. I read online that red lights are indicators for storage working. The last question isn't that important I just want to learn more. I bought all my components off Amazon. CPU: i5 9400F PSU: 600 W Bronze EVGA RAM: Patriot Viper DDR4 2666 MHz Mobo: Asrock H310m itx/ac SSD: Kingston 250 GB M.2 HDD: A 750 GB 7200 RPM Hard Drive I took from an old Dell prebuilt made in 2011 Case: Sugo SG13B P.S. I'm not a dummy I swear. The front of mobo box literally says that they're compatible with 9th gen processors. I even saw reviews and videos that have H310 boards using the i5 9400F.
  7. Thanks for the replies. I thought the games would run better since they are old in my eyes but I guess 7 years isn't that much time. I presume the issue in frame drops is something else then. I don't think my GPU is what's holding me back since it's at 30-50% usage depending on when fights happen in Overwatch but I'll investigate more. That's the only other reason I can think of. Maybe Reinstalling Windows is the only option. My last theory is that Overwatch has been updated so many times that it runs worse than it did a year or two ago. I recently saw a video dating back two years where the GTX 970 could reach 160-180 fps consistently but my game runs at 144 fps but can drop a few times to 80-50 for one second intervals during fights. Well I'll figure it out someday. Once again thank you guys!
  8. For a few months now I've noticed that my CPU is always at high CPU usage while playing games. I'm having trouble addressing or understanding the issue so I'll try listing down the facts so far: It's i5 6600K that's overclocked to 4.5Ghz on an Asus Z170a motherboard. The GPU is a MSI GTX 970. It's not a cooling problem, the highest its gotten to is 75 Celsius while processing videos in Sony Vegas. I downloaded the free version of Driver Booster in order to update all my drivers. I've updated Windows whenever possible. I recently moved my OS to a new M.2 SSD while keeping the old hard drive for games (I think I partitioned the disks weirdly because I have a recovery and local disk that have 400 MB in them along side my Hard drive and SSD) I upgraded to 3200 MHz 16GB RAM WMI Provider Host usually takes around 10% at all times, even when I'm doing nothing. (I checked online for solutions on this but I found none worked) It commonly will spike to 100% CPU usage in games like Overwatch, Borderlands 2, and Saints Row 4 at low settings. I downloaded QuickCPU and unparked my cores while maxing out a lot of the values to attempt at getting better performance. I view the usage in Task Manager and sometimes QuickCPU The reason I'm asking this now is that I heard from my friend that he was getting 8% CPU usage on Saints Row 4 while I was getting 88-100%. His computer was around the same price as mine and built 8 years ago. I built mine 5 years ago. I'm wondering if this is normal or if I have to just wipe my pc and reinstall windows. Before my PC could run Overwatch low quality 144 Fps no problem but now it keeps frame dropping, my only assumption is that it's my CPU's problem because it reaches 100% while my GPU is at around 30%. Maybe it's the poor optimization of the games themselves but I feel like that isn't right either. If you guys could give me a way to diagnosis the problem that would be nice. A solution would be even better! Anyways if there's no other way I guess you can link me some videos with steps on how to reinstall windows while keeping my old programs. To be honest, it would be very annoying redownloading all those drivers, I don't think I have the disks anymore, but I'll get them online if I have to. Thank you in advance if you read this super long post and help.
  9. I'm a little confused because I heard the previous owner of my apartment had no problems. I told Cox when I got my new modem/router device about my new address and they approved.
  10. I did call them earlier but all they said was that I should get a technician. They apparently tried to send a signal to the device a few times but it was not working. Another tidbit of information is that I can see it as one of the available networks on my phone but I connect it shows full bars but it doesn't work.
  11. I really don't know much about this kind of stuff so I'm just gonna state information that may help you understand what I need to do. I just installed this Cox panoramic modem and router in one thing and it has been blinking orange the whole time. I have not been able to get internet access. I've checked all the cables and it is plugged into the wall directly (no power strip). I have presented it multiple times but there has been no change. I checked the ethernet port on the back of my PC which it is connected to and it is solid orange. I screenshotted the ethernet status so hopefully, that helps. Anyways thanks for any advice you can give and I hope I posted this in the right place.
  12. It has gotten really late so I can't move stuff around. Thanks for everyones help. Ill try sorting this out tomorrow.
  13. Would it be noteworthy to say that boot screen looks normal but when windows launches it is all screwed up?
  14. From the heaven benchmark it goes through everything with a rainbow of different trippy colors with brief flashes of what it should look like. Fps stays around 70-90
  15. What kind of benchmark test? Gpu test like Haven?
