  1. Minecraft servers use ALOT of ram. Concider atleast 32gb and a quad core processor would be good. The fx 8370 and 32 gb of ram and a board is a good bet.
  2. It should be fine. I5's are quad cores and that generation isnt that old. I have a friend that runs and i5 540and he is fine at 1080p.
  3. I left the consumer market and bought a ubiquiti unifi system. I've had all the consumer brand's and in my situation I've had sooooo many issues. Thx for your suggestion but I'm looking for a modem. I already have a unifi switch and 3 ap pros...
  4. Open the tab that is labeled DMZ. type in the ip you want to port foward and save changes. Head into port fowarding tab and enter in the ports you want to open.
  5. Hi. This is the first time I've asked a question instead of responding to one so I'm sorry if I did anything wrong. I am in a situation of finding a modem to hook up to my frontier/verizon fios fiber coaxial connection. I currently use the isp provided gateway and want a better solution. Any advice as to where I should look would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.
  6. It won't matter mutch. It will be a tiny bit slower due to latency in communication but it won't matter.
  7. Typical choil whine...... don't worry about it.
  8. Premiere pro benefits better from nvidia cuda more then stream processors. Go with nvidia geforce of your choice.
  9. First re-seat the processor and ram. If that didn't work unplug all psu connections and grab the 20x4 pin atx connector. Find the green wire and jump it with a paper clip to any black pin. Plug in power and switch the psu power button if it has one. If the psu fan spins the psu functions normal. Then go ahead to plug in your drives with the jumper still atached. If the psu spins up then the drives are functioning. Finally plug in your gpu and jump it again and see if it spins up. If all devices spin up with the psu then there is an issue with the mobo.
  10. Check Microsoft site. This happened to me and it has to do with an update conflicting with 3rd party drivers. Log into a working account, if you don't have one you can look up ways to activate admin account. Then delete your account and re signin sign in to your account. It should work then. If not then ensure that your driver's are at the latest version. Othe then that idk
  11. I glanced over the documentation. Check all of the drives and optical drives and unplug them one at a time and see if the error goes away.
  12. Is everything working properly in your system? If so then check if fast boot is enabled.
  13. I always use the Asus software to measure cpu readouts as I find it to be the most reliable.
  14. Any one can supply 5v at .5A. Check if your device and ensure it can charge at that voltage and amprage
  15. If they claim in the listing title non overclocked in bold letters. They are probably lieing. If youreally picking it up ask if you can test it in your own rig or in their rig before making the sale. Test it in game and note the fps and compare it to the benchmarks and see if they fall in the margin of error. Also check any oc utility if the settings are normal.
  16. That is usually the lowest supported speed. 3200 should be fine, and if it isnt try borrowing some ram or using spare ram and enable xmp mode on the bios. Save changes and immideatly power off your system. Insert your ram and you should be good.
  17. Mhz affects how fast data can be written to the ram. So when getting a higher mhz just increces the speed data can be written and read to the ram. The difference is unnoticeable unless you are dealing with a gpu. The only way you will notice a difference is if you are for example video or audio editing. Other than that the speed difference is almost unnoticible
  18. Get the 2x4 fot the dual channel and quad channel to work properly. Also some mobos become picky if you install 8gb sticks with 4gb sticks so go with the 4gb sticks to be safe
  19. Go with anything in the qvl or qualifed vendor list on the mobo manufacturers website. Also choose the fastest speed and highest gb per stick for expandibility in the future. Other than that it wont matter
  20. They are pci ports. Unfortunatly graphics cards for that standard are long gone. The black ones are isa slots and they are also long gone as well...
  21. Go with the two 8gb sticks so in the future you can expand to 32gb
  22. Try using a different oc and monitoring software. I had the same issue and using evga precision x oc fixed it
  23. For me im confortable running my i7 6700k at 85°c and the gpu at 83°c
  24. Intel has been doing the tick-tock thing for a while so id recommend you go with the older i5 as the performance difference is not that much
