Damn, are you sure the hype is real?  Like there is a confirmed sighting of the hype? Mother of god, this changes everything! Have you informed the president? We need a team on this NOW!

Ok, you got me. I have been on the edge for a while now, and I am finally gonna bite the bullet (or keyboard?) and go for it.

The SLI idea was just my novice attempt at theorizing how to update this build later as it starts to age. I have no idea what I should actually do in a few years.

If you really want NO MAINTENANCE (asides from dusting) than I would suggest an air cooler.
My main reason for this is because although AIO liquid coolers are good, they do suffer from performance degradation (unless you can change the liquid in it) but that would require maintenance. If you are getting adequate temps with air cooling, go with that

just a small tip. find a build that you like and look on afuture.nl to see if they have those components, most likely they do and it is the cheapest dutch site most of the time.

    Dutch:
kleine tip. zoek een computer die je wilt maken en ga erna naar afuture.nl om te kijken of ze die componenten hebben, meestal hebben ze die en zijn ze het goedkoopste van alle nederlandse internetwinkels. succes!

The correct parts to get aren't dependent on a ratio of prices and there's no correct answer to your question.
Which parts you should get will depend on what the system is used for, what parts are available, their respective prices, and your budget.

Mainly because of the price/performance but since they're the same price in India I think you're good with the 1060 3G.

Btw it's a cut down version of the 6GB with less CUDA cores. Just keep away from very high quality textures that would tax your VRAM and you should be fine.

I see needless performance. Why 1080 SLI? Do you plan on playing GTA-V Redux on 4K?

I'd rather spend just $2000 on the PC and upgrade again in 3-4 years than drop 4 grand all at once. Future proofing is cost-inefficient, no graphics card is gonna stay relevant for 4 years. Consider the performance degradation of components as well as warranties not being able to keep up.

I agree with what he's saying, the water cooled card is nice, but you'd be better off spending the $80 somewhere else, maybe some fans for better overall cooling.

As with the discounts, to explain what he's saying a bit more, you can get some pretty ok discounts in some places where it would make sense to offer a benefit to buying (i.e. cases and GPUs, since it's a competetive market), but when focusing on essential parts (i.e. the CPU), discounts will be VERY scarce since people will keep buying it and theres not much of an incentive to lower the price
