  1. I found some threads on a forum, gonna check those But I got a lead now Thanks a lot ! I asked this question on many forums but got no answers
  2. Oh I see, now I get why it'll be difficult ... So I have to look for an MXM to PCI E cable ?
  3. Unfortunately, I live in a 3rd wolrd country, the 970 is my best bet for my budget And I'll look for the cable, if I can't find any, I'll ask my cousin who lives in France, it shouldn't be that expensive Thanks for the answer ! You saved me a lot of time Edit : I just found this one on Amazon, is it fine ? https://www.amazon.com/Express-Riser-Extender-Flexible-Extension/dp/B008BZBFTG
  4. Hello, I know I've already asked the question, but I unfortunately got no answers about it. I have a laptop and it's GPU (AMD 7970m) died a year ago, replacing it would be quite expensive and the 7970m is not that great. So I wanted to plug in a GTX 970 on the MXM 3.b port, I just wanted to know if it's possible or if I still needed the Express Card adapter. As far as I know, MXM ports work just like PCI E ports, so that shouldn't be a problem I will also use an external PSU to power it Thanks in advance !
  5. Because MXM cards are quite expensive and as I'm using my laptop as a desktop, I'd rather have an eGPU
  6. Hello, My laptop's MXM GPU dies recently, I found some solutions on the internet to plug an eGPU to a laptop using the Express Card slot and an adapter, but I was wondering if I couldn't use my laptop's MXM 3.b port to plug-in the GPU or do I need an adapter as well ? It's an Alienware M17X R4 of 2012 (AMD 7970m version) Thanks !
  7. A weird Keyboard + Mouse bundle from an unknown brand called Capsys
  8. This would be a good alternative for TVs since I don't have one, I'm in !
  9. Considering it's a MXM, I can still replace it, and as I said the Intel HD 4000 works just fine, I'm not throwing it at all
  10. Is there any precautions to cook a MXM GPU ? I mean what part of the GPU should i cover before putting it into the oven ?
  11. Thanks for the help, I really hope that it'll work again
  12. Seems fait to me, But I'll still clean it with bleach, I don't want to intoxicate my familly !
  13. Thanks, I'll put it in an oven s a temporary solution (It it comes back to life ofc) and I'll be looking for a new GPU But I still want to know about the sanitary risks, Linus adviced to use an old oven that was going to trash, but I don't have one, can I still cook in the oven where I baked the GPU ?
  14. I want to be sure that it's dead, It's shown on the control panel but when I activate its driver I have infinite windows loading ... but when I switch to the Intel HD 4000 (By disabling the driver of the 7970) the PC works normally, but I can't really play games with the HD 4000
  15. It's the case with this one, but should I try to put it in an oven ? I saw many cases where the GPU worked again
