  1. Gotcha. Thanks for explaining.
  2. Hi, I've got 3 monitors hooked up to my PC. My 'main' sits in the middle, and I extend to the left and right. However my left monitor is stuck as "1" and I have had no luck in Windows 10 making the middle, checked as main monitor, number "1" out of 3. The order from left to right goes 1,2,3, however number "2", remains checked as main monitor. Im trying to make this number "1" to deal with mouse issues in-game. (included screenshot) I apologize in advance if there is an obvious fix, I have dabbled around in display setting across the board, and swapped cables and adapters and ports. Thanks very much - J
  3. I'm just starting to look into SLI for my EVGA FE 1080ti, (Overkill, I know) and I'm noticing that this card in particular has skyrocketed in price. Almost double for what I got it for (which was $800ish) Other variants of the 1080ti and even other EVGA variants are still near that $700-$800 mark, but not the founders edition. I've noticed that its for sale on NVidia's website for $700 but naturally its out of stock. So my question is, does my card have to be 100% identical to the card i'd like to run SLI with? Or can the cards be variants of the same 1080ti GPU? I apologize if this seems like an unorthodox question, especially if its an obvious answer. Its not something I'm familiar with.
  4. So I have 2x8GB sticks of Corsairs V. LPX,(2100MHz) and my PC is completely unstable with both sticks in, but fine with only one 8GB stick. With two sticks I am met with the following BSODs shortly (5-20min) after boot: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT dxgmms1.sys KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL ATTEMPTED_TO_READ_WRITE_ONLY_MEMORY Specs GIGABYTE Z170G6 (latest BIOS) EVGA 1080ti FE i7-7700k @ 4.6 750 EVGA Supernova G2 Win 10 (128GB EVO) Attempted fixes sfc/scannow in cmd.exe Win MemoryDiagnostic Reseatings of both sticks in all 4 DIMM slots in all combinations of order. Checked and updated for BIOS ver. Checked BIOS settings for correct RAM setup Can anyone help me? If I'm lacking any info please ask. I need this stick to work! I have no return papers. lol!
  5. Right on lads, Thanks for all the input. I've bookmarked a monitor at 1440p 144hz (I forget which, as I'm responding on a different PC). Really, I knew what I wanted, I'm just incredibly impatient. (I have no idea how I saved for that 1080ti). Thanks for the advice! Edit: Found the monitor - https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236593&cm_re=1440p_144hz-_-24-236-593-_-Product It oughta be this, or one of the variants. Or whatever goes on sale first! Lmao
  6. Hi all, I'm in the market for a new main monitor for gaming/content creation. I recently purchased an EVGA 1080ti Founder Edition, and I'd like to upgrade my display accordingly. As we all know the monitor market isn't exactly thriving at the moment, and a 144hz refresh rate at 1440p res can get expensive. (Especially if you go the ASUS route). Really, all I want the higher hz for, is CSGO. However with how terrible my town's internet is, I'm worried the "competitive edge" would be contradicted with frequent rubberbanding, packet loss etc. But I REALLY want a competitive edge. However I have this guilty conscious that it would be enthusiast sin to purchase a 1080ti, and NOT get a higher res display. Just looking for opinions today, and hoping for a nudge in either direction. My budget as it stands is only about $200-$300 (of course I could wait for more paychecks but we all know how that is.) Opinions and personal preferences are encouraged. Thanks for reading! -JimmyGio
  7. I recently bought myself EVGA's Founder Edition 1080ti from Amazon and have had a heck of a time getting it to work with my system. SPECS: GIGABYTE H97M-D3H Mobo Intel i7-4790k EVGA 750 Watt G2 Supernova EVGA Founder Edition 1080ti 16GB Ballistix RAM Windows 10 64-Bit My 1080ti refuses to be "picked up" by my system. I have powered it to my first PCIE slot, as well as my second to make sure that wasn't the issue (it wasn't). It is connected via 8-pin that goes directly into the PSU, and a 6-pin that splits off into two molex connectors that route into my PSU. The GPU is not detected by the Device Manager nor NVIDIA when I try to give it any sort of driver update whatsoever. Whether it's a downloaded driver or on disk, the installer tells me that it cannot find compatible hardware. I know this card is not DOA because this card is a replacement for a card that was diagnosed DOA by NVIDIA tech support. I find that this isn't the case because the new card suffers from the same issue. My guess is compatibility somewhere in the rig. I have done everything from wiping existing drivers, to disabling on-board graphics to force an input from the card (to no avail) and now I've resorted to forums. The only thing I can imagine it being is the motherboard needing a BIOS update, however the download provided by the manufacturer does not play well with 64-Bit systems (mine at least), even though it is advertised as such. If you have any advise or fixes PLEASE respond quickly as I would love to make my $750 card work. Thank you -Jimmy. Note: The card IS POWERED as the fan spins, and text lights up.
  8. Using a CMStorm Devastator. I bought it because I though the colors were really bright and pretty, turns out not so much xD. I'd love a new one because I'm currently saving for an i7-4790K, with little room for keyboard money. I've also had it for sometime close to two years now, and keys get clunky! Thanks!
