  1. Just to add some details, here's the section of the manual which says something about the Thunderbolt header. It doesn't say much IMO...
  2. Which card? I have googled a little but I am not sure of which one goes with the header of the motherboard...
  3. Hi anybodykek, thanks for replying. I actually want to sell this drive as I no longer need it (I used to use it for video editing with an iMac I sold and I now use internal storage of the PC for this). So I need to securely erase it before selling. So the speed doesn't matter too much. Which adapter could I buy?
  4. This is the external disk I have http://www.lacie.com/gb/en/products/mobile-storage/little-big-disk-thunderbolt-2/
  5. BTW the motherboard has also USB 3.1, can I use some sort of adapter instead of that card?
  6. Hi, I have an Asus Z170 Deluxe and the manual says it has a "Thunderbolt header (5-pin) for ASUS ThunderboltEX series support". I want to use a Thunderbolt SSD drive I already have so I am wondering what card should I buy? I am looking to buy from Amazon.de and there are a few options if I search "ThunderboltEX" but I am not sure which one is the right one. Thanks in advance!
  7. Is it a MacBook Pro? If yes, try pressing the bottom right corner of the touchpad with two fingers to do the right click.
  8. I use Gentoo with a UEFI mobo and have no issues with it, I've also used Ubuntu briefly with it and no problems as well. What kind of problems did you have?
  9. I usually update every 1-2 weeks if I can so to avoid huge updates, still often there are many packages to update. How often do you update out of curiosity?

I'm sorry for you Yeah almost there $50 for 1Mbps? Unbelievable! I pay 59 euros for 1Gbps. It's not cheap but in comparison....wow 900MB/sec not too bad lol
