  1. what do you mean by circuit? they won't allow me to use internet during certain periods as a sort of punishment which I find absolutely idiotic so I'm looking to bypass it with using the wifi. I'm also looking into getting a wifi repeater.
  2. I'm looking for a PCI wifi card with a signal strength as strong as the Samsung Galaxy S6 (weird comparison most likely, I don't have experience in wifi). My parents are unplugging the Ethernet cable that leads from the main building out to my hut so I can't use my PC. I'm located around 15m away from the router and the signal passes through two wooden walls. From my room I can use my Galaxy S6 on our wifi with transfer speeds enough for 1080p youtube streaming but not my PC, so I'm looking to buy a wifi card to bypass their restriction and be able to use my PC. My previous PC had a cheap PCI card from china (~$12) that couldn't connect or detect our wifi from my room so I'm looking to get a decent one that's as powerful as the one in the Galaxy S6. Transfer speeds aren't particularly important, getting around 20Mb/s download would be sweet to watch youtube but I could deal with as little as 1Mb/s and just play some Counterstrike. If anyone knows of a card that can reach the signal or knows for what to look for while searching for one please leave a comment. The wifi router is an ASUS RT-N56U
  3. The Razer Blade Stealth would be a great replacement for the slow, bulky and straight up shit laptop that was provided by my school.
  4. why do you assume I have done that, and why do you say it's "the wrong direction"? there's no right and wrong, there's optimal and sub-optimal and it all depends on what you're trying to get out of it. I'm guessing you're referring to how the case is designed and how there's no air filter at the top, which is a valid point to make. just don't be such a cunt about it.
  5. the PC in question: http://imgur.com/gallery/O3tbT I tried googling but I only end up with threads about positive vs. negative air pressure for some reason. I need two new 140mm fans for the front of my case to push out all the hot air and I have no idea about which to get. I need a steady flow of air to keep the 1080 from re-using the same air and to swoop over the ram and heatsinks. It's fairly important that it has a fast flow to move it all and a wide spread to cover the whole case. My values in order are, Effectiveness, noise, price, looks. The fans will be in the front and mostly not visible but it would be nice if they were white/black instead of puke brown like Noctua's. The budget isn't too tight but I'm looking to pay sub-$25 for each fan unless it's really worth it. (inb4 people who paid $5 for their fans laugh at my 1st world view of what's "expensive". My excuse is being Scandinavian) Please help me out with any suggestions, I don't know much about fans but I noticed that an XtraFlo fan had a really wide spread because of the weird blade shape so I guess fans like that one will be optimal. Again, I don't know much about this. also, what do you think about using the top fan as intake for better cooling of the heatsinks over and behind the CPU cooler and then letting everything get pushed out the back?
  6. Mouse: Logitech G502 which is too heavy for me and has cause pain along my arm Mousepad: Steelseries QCK+ that is fraying left and right and my arm gets stuck on it and fold the pad as I drag my arm up Keyboard: Corsair K70 RGB mx-Red which has dented my table with its aluminium but is otherwise awesome Headset: Logitech G933 which is just absolute bliss to use but they really should have made the cups able to swivel 180 degrees so you can put the cups downwards for more versatility with the way you put them down a 90g mouse sounds pretty sweet
  7. would be nice to not use a graphics card from 2012
  8. The first one is too expensive but the other is a valid option, thanks man.
  9. and turns out it doesn't support Skylake, heh.
  10. Because it's twice the cost of what I want to pay for a motherboard.
  11. getting a PC with an ASUS Strix GTX 1070, Intel i7-6700K, 16GB HyperX Fury DDR4 2133MHz and EVGA fully modular 650W Gold. Right now I'm looking at a Gigabyte GA-Z170-Gaming K3 because it supports my CPU and Memory as well as it's pretty cheap and looks sleek. I'm building a white PC with RGB (NZXT H440 white, white cables, NZXT HUE+, RGB graphics card, etc.) so looks are a big factor in what motherboard I will choose. There aren't many white motherboards at the low end so a sleek black/gray are my options right now. I will mostly be gaming but probably streaming from time to time for fun. The mother board doesn't need integrated WIFI or a good soundcard. I'm looking for a motherboard at this price because my budget is maxed out.
