I personally would not recommend CF or SLI of 2 lower end cards to try to compete with a single higher card
    CF/SLI Disadvantages :
    1.Higher Wattage
    2.More Heat
    3.Compatibility
    4.Stutters
5.Games that have HORRIBLE CF/SLI support
    6.Space inside case
    7.Bottlenecks

    CF/SLI Advantages :
1.Performance (Only if you have a good CPU so bottlenecks would not be created,a better PSU,a bigger case
,mobo that supports 2 way CF/SLI,running games that actually support CF/SLI,running games that dont have stutters with 2 way

I always hated those type of builds i think they are to bulky but thats just personal opinion i like something with 2 way CF/SLI Max

1.Why but a K series CPU if not going to overclock it? just save $30 and get a 4790
2.i7 4790k Advantages : Better single core performance
    3.Xeon : lower TDP by 4w

i say just save a couple bucks and go for the 4790 since the Xeons are usually server builds on a rendering machine they are usable for gaming but its not the same

Depends on your overall setup. But if you do intend on getting 16 later, then you'll most likely want to go for a single 8gb stick now.

look just below you, i added that in. (and yes, to some extent he's right)

for some information to get you going on enlightening yourself, here's the biggest factors you have to keep in mind when comparing:
    - core count (the video example between the i5 and the hex core xeon)
    - IPC "instructions per cycle" (this isnt a "number" this is mostly just comes down to differences between same process node parts being neglible, with this being the big variable in the 580 vs 1080 example)
    - clock speed

    you dont learn from kindness.

you learn from trying to repair a radio, get 300 volts to the face, and try again.

So heres my story,One day i was going to buy my first pc (it was pre built) and i wanted a $600 my mom said that it was pointless and that the pc is just a box that runs on magic and that i should buy $150 one since there is no difference only the looks,so i was saying mom thats not true and i originally bought a $350 PC and did well for home use and small gaming, but i came home with a simple $2 mouse and the scroll wheel was not working and my mom browsing the internet she was raging and was saying "WHY DOES THIS NOT WORK DID YOU BREAK IT?" then i said its $2 mice its already broken from the factory! and then i said to her "Listen if you cant handle the little wheel on the right side you will see a bar to go up and down and its a dark gray color just click it and move up and down" she said "Thats to complicated" so i went into my room saying "Just try and learn" and every fudging 2 seconds she would yell thru the room so i hear her say "Come here and help me click on this" i said "you do that do that" she was like "Got it" and then it just repeated into a circle until i bought a IBM mouse that did not need to just move up or down with your finger but you just press down or up and it moves at insane speeds.Thats my story

people get glitches, bugs, screen tearing that with there 980 Ti's,750 Ti's,980's etc thats why i always hated Nvidia poor service but AMD is getting good with there drivers + full dx12/mantle support , my HD 7970 is going to be good as a GTX 780 just because nvidia nerfed the last gen cards and AMD is gimping the old* gen cards

My friend and I were browsing for pc cases on msy (australia) at school, because language isn't really a good class, and my friend was building a PC. There were two girls sitting behind us, and completely randomly asked, 'Is that a toaster?' We rofl'd so hard, and told them those are pc cases. Mind you, they were the kind of apple fangirls everyone hates. Their reply was, 'Why would you bring your computer to school in a box like that?' And more rofls occured. We said 'It's for a desktop, he's building his own pc' and at this point they were like 'You can build your own computer? Really?' And at this point we just sighed. These are the kind of people who only know macbooks and imacs, and probably didn't even know what a desktop was.

Another friend of mine, a guy who isn't as stupid as most, sometimes still amazes me with his stupidity. He downloaded a movie off pirate bay, and upon opening it, was told that he required a different video codec. He installed the one recommended by the file (big mistake). Then after that, he gives the setup file administrator permissions to change stuff on his pc. He now has a virus on it. Now he went to reset windows (hey he knows what to do at least), but the virus still remained and it got stuck in a boot loop. We told him to reinstall Windows from scratch, but he replied, 'I can't mount windows on my ram' (4gb laptop). At this point we were officially done with him and told him to just send it back.
