Not sure what I love more, the 5155 itself or the Model F it comes with!

Currently in dishwasher to see if it can get rid of the unknown black residue on the main keyboard case.

Am making MX compatible PCB and plate for this (at my friend's request; I didn't buy this but it is my payment for the modern internals).

Solid zinc btw. Make your guesses for weight. Will weigh tomorrow.

Yeah, he wants it to be front facing. Which is why the meshify c doesn't work. (Have one, would overall suggest that op reconsider, I love mine)

So that actually.. fixed it?...I tried 3200MHz first, booted fine then 3400MHz, booted fine and then 3466MHz was gtg. So I got ballsy and jumped up to 3600MHz and it boots perfectly fine! Weird because what you suggested was how I did it the first time around and it boot looped. The only thing I did different was reactivate windows before trying it which I didn't know I needed to do since the watermark was popping up sporadically. Could that have fixed it?

Cinebench showed no errors. Ill do some light gaming and test further. Thank you both @-rascal- & @DailyProcrastinator so much!

Windows activation should not affect this.
DRAM XMP / frequency is at the BIOS firmware level, which is before it gets into Windows.

I'm thinking DDR4-3600 might not be 100% stable, or motherboard needs a couple of re-learn / re-tries to get DDR4-3600 stable.
As @DailyProcrastinator mentioned, XMP does NOT set all the DRAM timings for you, and for most of them, are just "suggested" settings.
The primary timings are set, but most of the secondary + tertiary timings are all up to the motherboard.
If you are not aware, the motherboard is capable of re-learning / re-teaching itself by trial-and-error to get XMP settings working.
Some motherboards even have a setting in the BIOS that allows you to set the number of re-tries before the board gives up, and just runs JEDEC DDR4-2133 default.

Cinebench might not be enough to confirm DDR4-3600 is actually 100% stable (e.g. it doesn't fill up all the RAM, or doesn't stress RAM enough).
For now, run it at DDR4-3600, but keep an eye out if it you encounter any system crashes or BSoD that could be DRAM related.

Another quick-and-easy thing you can test is enable DOCP so the primary memory timings + DRAM voltage is set to the XMP spec.
Then manually adjust the DRAM frequency so...say DDR4-3200 or DDR4-3400.
This is just to find out to what DRAM frequency the system is stable up to without drilling down, and fine tuning the DRAM timings, etc.

Ahhh well in that case it should not need a bios update. Clear CMOS and go into bios, reset everything to default. Then if able to boot into windows make sure all drivers and windows updates are completed. If not a fresh OS install could be the answer unfortunately.

Update you Bios. Z370 did not support 9th gen CPUs out of the box. That is the first step.

100% correct! To be exact it's the XPS 13 2-in-1, I have the exact same laptop. It has a D Brand skin on the touch pad, hence the pink.

    Welcome to the forum!

Temps are not great, but considering the cooler, case, and ambient temps (yes that matters), this seems normal.

If you want to improve temps without changing hardware consider a CPU under-volt. Otherwise get a better CPU cooler, maybe more case fans with a positive airflow setup.

    ...I'm blind.

That's a bit odd though, considering temps in Cinebench R23 are 10C+ lower.
OP, are you seeing the same high temperatures (high 80s, low 90s) if you run a stress test like Prime95 or Linpack?

OP is probably a bit more concerned about gaming temps.
EDIT: That said with a 5900x and NH-U12S not abnormal temps.

DailyProcrastinator got a reaction from Gastarbeiter in Should I change my PSU?
Yes the RMx is a Tier A PSU with 10-year warranty, I have owned several Corsair PSU's over the years, including an RMx, all of which have served me well and issue free. I can highly recommend the RMx.

It comes in an all white versions with white sleeved cables as well. So while it is a price premium (only £10 right now),  if you wanted to buy sleeved cables anyways it justifies the minor price increase.
