  1. Hardware Unboxed does the best monitor reviews. Take especial notice to the real response time's and the overshoot needed to reach that response. This will effect how clear movement looks, in the same way refresh rate makes it look smooth. Very few of the "1ms response time" monitors actually hit this metric without massive amounts of overshoot. (Makes a double image with trailing color shifts after moving objects.) 2. Shooting blind here, but are you trying to delete an admin account?
  3. Hi. Im doing my own research as you read this but if any of you reading this already know of my perfect laptop I'd really appreciate it. Im looking for a laptop with the following: Fullsize hdmi A USB-A At least one USB-C(2 is preferred) LTE or 5G Large and good trackpad Good keyboard Ca. 15 inch Not a must have, but preferred: A discreet gpu for cad A sd card reader. Obviously, price is a factor, but im primarily looking for these spec's and build quality over price. I realize the requirements are very specific, but i hope it makes it easier to guild and advice me :).
  4. My main concern is weight, batteri, build quality and i would prefer a gpu. (I will be handling CAD files, and prefer not to have them to choppy.) In simple works, i want a mac with windows and a gpu.
  5. Im deep into window and dont want to have to learn a completely new system at the same time as getting back into school after a couple of year. I also am not a fan of the high wall on the apple ecosystem and have no interest in entering it. My vad for not specifying a windows laptop.
  6. Looking for a premium laptop for uni. The sensel touchpads seems like an amazing feature and i really want my laptop to have one. The laptop i currently own is a old laptop from 2016 and painfully outdated. Haven't had a use for anything in addition to my desktop for years. The Thinkpad X1 yoga is the only one I can find. Are there any upcoming laptop i should wait for or is the Thinkpad my best bet. Any potential deal breakers with the X1 i should look out for?
  7. For anyone reading this a few day later. The problem is still not fixed and I'll mark it if it eventually does.
  8. My mistake for not being clearer. But as i tried to write on the original post. I typed both. Didn't work sadly.
  9. It doesn't show up in the boot list. I have tried unplugging. (I'll add it to the list.) Depending on when i unplug, it either tells me to plug in the bootable Media and press a button, or just sends me to the bios.
  10. Hi! Im in the final stages of putting together my rig. Im using a Asus Crosshair VIII Dark Hero. I have 3 drives: Samsung 860 QVO 2TB Samsung 970 EVO 500GB WD Black SN850 1TB I will be using the 970 EVO as my boot drive. My problem is as follows. I use the USB windows installer i made, and go through the process of installing windows on the 970 EVO. All is well, and as usual untill it gets to the point in the install where it has copied the files over (in theory) and restarts intending to keep going from the boot drive.(I may be wrong, this is how i understand the process.) This is where the problem occurs. It restarts, but just continues booting from the USB, making me start the install process again as if i just booted up the system. This seems to be caused by the system not recognizing the 970 EVO as bootable, making it just default back to the USB after the restart. I have tried installing windows on the SN850, and it works perfectly. I also tried remaking the installer USB. I tried reformatiming and remake all partitions with diskpart in the cmd. I tried forcing both lagacy and UEFI mode. I tried disconnecting my 860 QVO to check if it was somehow sharing lanes. I have tried clearing CMOS several times to see if i changed some obscure setting. The UEFI i up to date as of yesterday.( Latest full realese) The 970 EVO was used in my previous system and worked fine. Didn't use it as my boot-drive though. I tried unplugging the USB when it restarted, sends me to bios or tells me to plug the bootable Media back inn. (I'll try to update this list as i go along.) Im starting to running out off thing to try. Thanks in advance for any help provided.
  11. The Ek pum has a odd bud very functional workaround where there is both a 4 pin fan header and a molex. It only runs ground and signal to the fan header, and gets power from the molex. So when i only plug in the molex it runs at full power for things like this. But you have to unplug the 4 pin, you can't just power off the controller or motherboard.
  12. Yup, ended up leak testing it the old fashioned way. No leaks 24 hours in.
