  1. BIOS update seemed to do the trick. Apparently it was a common issue with the Vengeance a7200s, I found a few other threads with the same issue. Thank you for the help!
  2. The RAM is Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro BIOS version is labelled as A.CC in System Info. Going to try updating it as suggest above.
  3. I'll definitely try the BIOS update and look out for the other temp sensors. Thank you!
  4. Hello! I recently bought a pre-built PC back in January and never had any problems until recently. As the title reads my PC shuts down when playing specific games. It isn't due to overheating (I've kept HWMonitor up while playing games and haven't noticed any temps over 70 celsius) It also takes me to the "shutting down" windows screen, it doesn't instantly turn off like a crash or anything, nor do I get any blue screens. I noticed the game it does it constantly on is Call of Duty Black Ops 2 (I wanted to replay the campaign). After about 5 minutes of playing, it randomly does this. The problem I believe is the graphics drivers but I'm not sure why. I have tried DDU and reinstalling the drivers. The shut down does not happen after a fresh install of the drivers or sometimes I hit the reinstall driver option on Nvidia GeForce Experience and do not experience any shut downs after reinstalling the drivers. However, if I turn my PC off or restart it, the problem continues when I come back on for another session. I tried looking online but couldn't find a solution. I don't think it's my PSU but I haven't completely ruled that out. Would really appreciate the help. Thank you! 5. Also (not sure if this will help any) but using BlueScreenView the problem driver/application seems to be "ntoskrnl.exe".
  6. Yes, BIOS mode is UEFI And I am currently using the most up to date drivers. 471.11 However, I still got blue screens on the previous drivers as well.
  7. I recently got a new GPU back in March and I have been having problems with games crashing and multiple blue screens. I upgraded from a 1060 6GB to a 2080ti. I've tried resetting windows and that didn't seem to work. I know it's some hardware but I'm not sure what? Temperatures are fine and usage is normal. I thought maybe the GPU was drawing too much power for my PSU (It's only 600W 80 plus) but I'm not entirely sure. I've gotten the following BSOD error codes: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED EDIT: Also forgot to mention I've done memory diagnostics with nothing found, I've also done sfc/ scannow, and other disk repair tools. No avail. SPECS: Motherboard: B450 Aorus Elite CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws (8GB x 2) GPU: EVGA 2080Ti XC SSD: Samsung 860 EVO Help is so greatly appreciated! Please do excuse my ignorance as well, as my knowledge of computers is somewhere between beginner-advanced.
  8. actually just figured it out. all i did was reset my bios defaults, booted with the defaults, went back and changed everything the way i had it and now it runs fine. idk why that was the issue but it worked?
  9. This started after I got home and I found out we had a power outage. I started up my PC and nothing seemed out of the ordinary until i tried to boot up anything or click anything. my computer would freeze for about 30 seconds and go right back to normal. It would first be the program i booted up, then my taskbar would stop responding and it would go down hill from there. I tried booting up Fortnite maybe to see if anything was wrong and when I started it up, it took a lot longer than usual and stuttered on the loading screen. I checked Task Manager to find out 80%-90% of my CPU was being used. When i finally loaded in, all of my textures were black. I quit the game, restarted and everything took a lot longer to load in and some areas on the map didnt load at all. I booted up Minecraft and it froze multiple times before i finally got it to run. My temperatures are fine but I don't have any idea what's going on. SPECS: FX-8320 Eight Core (3.5, OC to 4.0)GTX 1060 6 GB16 GB RAMGigabyte GA-970A-DS3P AM3+ Motherboard
  10. for anyone wondering, i did find a fix. it was actually a .net framework update, oddly enough. after i updated it and restarted my PC it was good as new.
  11. it usually does auto correct, and it does cycle through all of the inputs to find a signal but still shows nothing
  12. sorry i wasn't clear, I was using HDMI on the PS4 using the HDMI input on the monitor. I have no idea if it has anything to do with the problem but it's just odd.
  13. About a month ago I bought a new Acer XFA240 144hz monitor. Today, I hooked it up to my Playstation for the first time and played on it for a little. After a while I went to switch to my PC and the Display Port said "no signal". I didn't mess with the display port cable, and my computer detects the monitor but it doesn't display still. I unplugged the cables, plugged them back in, turning off the monitor via the power switch, unplugging it and turning off my computer and nothing seems to be working. The cable should be fine but I'm still very confused as why it randomly quit working for display port. It still uses HDMI perfectly fine.
  14. I was playing some Destiny 2 with my friends and was getting random FPS drops. From 80-90 to 20 and sometimes even 10. I thought it was my CPU so I started up CPU-Z and threw it onto my other monitor and played Destiny. Whenever I would drop frames, I looked to see my core speeds went from 3717.02 MHz, to 1407.02. It would fluctuate, going up and down constantly. I'm not sure what the problem is and it happens in every game. :SPECS:FX-8320 Eight Core (3.5, OC to 4.0)GTX 1060 6 GB14 GB RAMGigabyte GA-970A-DS3P AM3+ MotherboardAsetek 550LC 120MM Watercooler
