Just had a thought.

Plug the fans back in and just let them hang there and see what happens. Maybe it thinks the fans are missing so its derated the card/s.

Make sure the fans can spin.

 • Double check that the card/s is/are seated in the slots all the way.

 • Make sure vsync is off in game.

 • Make sure all the power cords are fully pluged into your video card.

 • Be sure to use all the power input ports on your video card.

 • Make sure all the power cords are fullyfully connected to your monthdoard.

 • Be sure to check that the video cable is compleatly pluged in to your GFX card.

I hope one of these fixes your problem.

I have two EVGA 1080 Hybrids.

Can they be spliced into a cooling loop with my CPU etc?

I would rather not buy new cooling blocks and instead just splice into the hybrid ones.

Yes getting new water blocks would be great but I'm trying to keep the price down.

Is there a fitting that will allow me to cut my Hybrid pipes and connect them to a regular cooling loop?

Why didn't I buy regular ones and put water blocks on them you might ask?

Because I got them for $400 under the current price. The previous owner of them was dying for the 1080 ti and he only had the cards for a month before the announcement of the ti.

I have been running Samsungs 500GB SSD drives in RAID in my systems as the C drives for years. I have only had 1 out of 6 drives fail after about 2 years of non stop use. After filling out my warranty info and sending the drive in I got a refurbished one the day after they received mine and it was the newest model at the time. I have had ZERO drive failures sense and I never turn my systems off. My computers being left on are what is killing the planet.

Before I start just want you to know that I have found some boards but I want to see what everyone recommends.

I'm looking for a motherboard that supports 4 PCIe 3.0 video cards at 16x each at the same time.

I will be using 10 monitors at 1080p and 4 video cards in SLI sets of 2.

So 2 EVGA 1080's in SLI and 2 EVGA 760's in SLI.

For those of you that think I'm crazy and think it wont work you are sadly wrong.

I have been running dual, tri, and quad video cards in my computers sense before the AGP video card slot came out. (e.g. refer to the image below.)

As long as all the cards are the same chip manufacture (e.g. AMD, ATI, NVIDIA) it is almost 100% guaranteed to work.

I'm looking for a case that has two sets of expansion slots and if possible is rack mountable.

About the size of an 8U.

Something like this would work except that I would need some long PCIe extension cables to get around any other cards that would be installed.

The other problem with this case, it wont support my water cooling loop. It would be nice to have space for a second power supply as well.

My only guess is the fact you have EVE open 6 times. What are you in-game settings for each?

It's all the time lag. I just reinstalled windows fresh the other day along with the gfx drivers and it was the same problem.

In regards to your friend. He must have been deep into the PvP stuff, that takes a lot of time. I run industry mostly and only log in once every few days for only a few hours if that.

I guess no one knows so it might be a question for Linus and the team seeing that they got there GAMING at 16K RESOLUTION up and running.

I am only running 1080p screens and intend on running 10 screens all together.

I don't need them in sync as I am NOT playing games that cross multiple displays.

I build sites, use Photoshop, configure/host game servers, and multi box EVE Online.

So can Linus and the team give me a hand?

On my post above (edit's not working) I forgot to tell you that I can still today run 6 EVE Online clients, Pandora, browser, Photoshop and more all at one time on this beast of a laptop and hardly even notice any system delays. BIG thumbs up to ASUS for this laptop model.

If I could change one thing about this laptop it would just be a better graphics card. I have the 670m GTX. Well I would love a new case too.

I highly recommend an ASUS ROG laptop. No you don't need a new one. Get one from eBay.

I have an ASUS ROG G75VW that I have had for 5 years and it was the display model at Fry's Electronics.

I have beet the crap out of this thing and I don't have a bag or anything I carry it in.

I have dropped it twice from a height of about 6 feet out of my semi truck and it's still running strong. One of those times was just 2 weeks ago.

Even though parts went flying everywhere it has ZERO problems.

I am an AMD guy but love my i7 in my ASUS ROG G75VW. Oh and lets not forget that I hate laptops.

P.S. The two laptops I owned before my ASUS ROG both completely failed and where non-repairable with in 3 months and I took good care of them. Laptop case and all.

I know its not rack mountable but its what I have personal experience with. 

I was considering buying a DOCSIS 3.1 and building a custom mount for my rack. Though I would rather have something more professional and high end.

I have to say the heat dissipation with the rear fans is phenomenal!

My brother in-law has a thermal camera that we pointed at my ROG and the laptop was mostly cool with 90% of the hot spots being out the rear it looked so cool. I wish I had taken a picture.

I am a trucker and have had my ASUS ROG G75VW for around 4 years. It has been the most amazing laptop ever. Any time I bring a laptop into the truck with me it brakes within 6 to 12 months but not my ASUS ROG.

I replaced my DVD drive with a 4TB drive and installed two 500GB SSDs in it in RAID 0. I have zero complaints. I can play almost any game I throw at it including running 9 EVE Online clients at once with 60 FPS on all of them on one screen.

Mine also has a mini DisplyPort that can handle up to 6 more screens or one at 4K.

So I'm building a pfSense network for my server rack and home network (tired of spending $300+/- every 1 to 2 years for a new router). My problem is that my modem is a POS and craps out all the time it's a Comcast DOCSIS 3.0 rental. I would prefer installing some sort of cable modem PCIe card in my pfSense server and bypass the crappy external modem all together.

Yes I know some of you are thinking why would you even have a server rack full of servers if you only have cable.

It's all for personal use mostly internal and though I can get a fiber line seeing that I am moving in a year I would rather not pay the 3k installation fee.

So on to my question.

Is there a PCIe cable modem or card that I can install in my pfSense PowerEdge 1950 to bypass the stock cable modem?

If not what rack mountable cable modem do you personally suggest I use with the intention of upgrading to fiber in the future?
