  1. Good afternoon everybody ! Built my first rig this week-end, along with it, two new monitors the BenQ RL2455HM and the BenQ XL2411Z. I have bought the MSI Geforce GTX 1070 GAMING X 8G as my GPU. Everything runs fine with HDMI cables, but since theres is only one slot for HDMI in my GPU, and I want to use both of my screen, I have a problem. I wanted to use Dual DVI for my XL2411Z, the cable came in the monitor box so I plugged it. "No Signal" Tryed the same thing for the RL2455HM "No Signal" In the end, it worked for 30 seconds on the RL2455HM with a weird smaller size but still sharp resolution (not fullscreen), then it went to .. "No Signal" What I did: Look up the NVDIA Panel for multiple monitors. Updated 1070 drivers this morning. I switched between cables and even moved my GPU to another PCI slot on my motherboard, but nothing. Then I enforced the screws of the head of the dual DVI cable and made sure the cable was correctly connected, wich worked for the RL2455HM monitor but only for a little while (15-30sec). I am going to send it back (It is in really good condition, I just unpacked everything this weekend). The company is going to look up whats wrong and either return, refund or replace it. Be careful ! Maybe I did something wrong, But it is strange since HDMI worked just fine on both screens.
  2. Thanks for the suggestions I choosed to go for a 850W upgrade for a special price ! Btw, for the mic, the audio technica 1020 I wanted was way more expensive at the moment than the Blue Yeti, that is why I went for the Yeti !
  3. Hi everybody good afternoon ! There is currently an opportunity for me to switch from a EVGA 650W GS Gold PSU to EVGA 850 W G2 Gold for a good price before it is too late. I am the kind of guy who likes to keep the material I bought for as long as possible (the PC I am using atm is 10 years old with small RAMS,GPU,PSU upgrades), I am building my first PC setup with theses specs: Motherboard: ASUS X99 A-II CPU: I7 5820K RAM: 32GBS Corsair Vengeance LPX GPU: MSI GeForce 1070 Gaming X Fans: Around 6 (3x140mms 4x120mms) No Leds. As Peripherals: 1xHD 1080p Logitech Webcam 1xMicrophone (Blueyeti) 1xHyper Could II Gaming Headset 1xCorsair K7 Rapidfire 1xRazer deathadder Chroma 1xLogitech speakers 2xBenQs 1ms 24inch Monitors (one 144hz and one 60hz) Overall, with pcpartpicker and a test website, It suggested that my basic comsumption would be around 430w ish. But as I want to think ahead, and to optimize the things I bought for a usage as long as possible, I don't know if for the future, a 650w GS Gold would still be the thing for my rig. (Would possibly want to try VR games too) I heard that the optimal use of a PSU is between 40 and 60% of its maximum capacity.. What do you guys think ? Thanks for your time, TheNewOne.
  4. @EnemySp0tt3d @shadowbyte @007agentHP Thankyou for your advices ! Really appreciated ! I looked the three of them : The NZXT S340 is beautiful but I bought an optical drive (yes I did haha since my OS is a CD). (I can buy an external drive if needed though) The Fractal S.. really interesting, but why not the fractal R5 ? Is the R5 not an upgrade from Fractal S ? And finaly about the Cooler Master Maker 5, I could only find it around 270$ CAN including the taxes and shipping, wich is only 20$ over but still.. Does the Cooler Master 5 Pro wouldn't do almost the same job ?
  5. Hi everyone, I am almost to the point of building my first PC ever ! I am wondering if I should keep the Corsair 500 R white case (I have it but I can return it didn't used it) or replace it with one of these: Corsair Graphite 760T Cooler Master HAF X or any of your propositions !! I must say that I like the looks, but I am all about the durability, the quality of the material, and the airflow capacity ! And also, my motherboard is an ASUS X99 A-II and my GPU an MSI Gefore GTX 1070. Thankyou for your future advices !! Have a nice afternoon !
  6. Good Night fellow members ! For my new setup I want to be able to stream and play at the same time so I heard that dual-monitor was the ideal. option 1 Dual BenQ 24-inch LED 1ms Gaming Console Monitor w/ 2x HDMI (RL2455HM). option 2 A laptop as a second monitor (browsing twitch). That would allow me to save and buy a single BenQ 1MS GTG 144Hz High Performance Gaming 24-Inch LED-Lit Monitor XL2430T instead. option 3 Dual-screen with one RL2455HM for browsing and one XL2430T for gaming so I can really take advantage of my GPU (Gefore GTX 1070). Thanks in advance !
  7. @roughavoc @Nena360 Screw the bugdet then guys haha ! https://www.amazon.ca/MSI-Computer-2011-3-Motherboards-X99A/dp/B00UN7AWIK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1466297632&sr=8-2&keywords=msi+x99s+gaming+7 Seems like a good choice ? EDIT @Enderman Great ! I am just wondering in terms of durability now agaisnt the one above.. And I found a i7-4790K a little bit under the price of a 5820k, would it be an upgrade ?
  8. Good afternoon ! I am building a computer and I was told that for gaming and streaming, the X99 series was what to go for. (Currently bought a Gigabyte GA-Z170MX-GAMING 5 LGA1151 Micro ATX Motherboard ) but I can refund it. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B014SL2XKQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I would like to spend under 300$ on it, so I was wondering if this would be good enough with i7-5820k : http://pcpartpicker.com/product/JNnG3C/asus-motherboard-x99a If not, any suggestions would be really great !! Thankyou !
  9. @Shimejii @Nena360 @Brink2Three Thankyou very much for the feedback ! I did some research and even though 6600k is not bad, I will go for a i7 6700k because I want it to last as long as possible and I want the extra performance ! @KSores Thanks fellow Canadian ! I never heard of the nvenc before, I will do some researchs before building my computer. 1080 / 60 no fps drops whaaaaat (I am coming from a 10 years old computer)
  10. Hi community ! I want to be able to stream and play at the same time smoothly, my current build is : Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo Intel Core i5-6600K Nvidia Geforce GTX 1070 Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x 8GB)(C16R) Gigabyte GA-Z170MX-Gaming 5 EVGA SuperNOVA 650 GS 80+ GOLD Samsung 850 Evo 250GB Seagate Barracuda 1TB Asus 24x DVD-RW Serial-ATA Internal OEM Optical Drive DRW-24B1ST (Black) Carbide Series 500R Mid-Tower Case Is my CPU strong enough ? Or should I go for a i7 7600k ? (I would like to be able to stream games like LoL, Csgo, Overwatch, etc) ? Have a great night ! Thankyou !
  11. Thankyou very much, my problem is solved! I will go for the 1070 GTX !
  12. Wow hearthwarming to see the amount of replys thankyou guys ! @SeanAngelo @IskanderEXC @Nacho Marco Segui @GarnetDevil @Guuhan I forgot to mention that my Asus Radeon R9 390X 8GB is Overclocked (bought as). So I should return the Asus Radeon R9 390X 8GB for the upcoming RX 480 ? The RX 480 is better for the price then the Geforce1070 ? @pankajkumar Alright then ! I can keep my i5 without concerns @Wolf585 Yeah I found a video recently about how to overclock it (to 4.8GHZ) !
  13. Hi everybody ! I am new here, I have started to watch linustechtips recently on youtube and I really enjoyed it ! I had the same computer (build) for now 10 years, updated my graphics card once and added some rams to my dual core motherboard. Now I want to change, and I am looking for a good gaming set up that is durable with a good overall perfomance level. I mostly play MOBAS,MMOS,FPS. I don't really play games like the Witcher (computer was too old) but if I could why not ! Here is my build, inspired by another computer website: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo Intel Core i5-6600K Asus Radeon R9 390X 8GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x 8GB)(C16R) Gigabyte GA-Z170MX-Gaming 5 EVGA SuperNOVA 650 GS 80+ GOLD Samsung 850 Evo 250GB Seagate Barracuda 1TB Asus 24x DVD-RW Serial-ATA Internal OEM Optical Drive DRW-24B1ST (Black) Carb 500r Atx Mid Tower White My question is, should I switch to a Intel Core i7 or change any parts for better durability and performance, (I don't care about really really high graphics that much). Thankyou for your time ! Have a nice day everyone ! The New One.
