  1. No as in his bios locks and does not allow him to go further.
  2. Having the RX460 plugged in is what kills the iGPU.
  3. sort of what im trying to do but his igpu disables and wont enable when a GPU is present (fucking dell man ) So this is why im taking him through the Remote Desktop Route.
  4. unless its just a normal motherboard expecting an I7 or whatever then you would be correct @CharminUltraStrong
  5. His motherboard has one of those small IGPU's in it. With anything server/workstation the Mobo manufacturers in this case dell often include a small igpu for those that have no use for a GPU.
  6. also if we do manage to get your GPU working again don't flash it The benefits are Minor to say the least and the possible issues as you have seen can be major/gpu killing.
  7. Brilliant well done mate, Now go to device manager Right click My PC Click Manage Under display adapters do you see your AMD GPU ? If not please screenshot and send what you see.
  8. Did you use Windows to flash it in the first place ?
  9. But without a second GPU and his bios being dell idiotic proprietary bullshit corporate assholes I hate dell. How can he ?
  10. He doesn't hence why I'm trying to get him to remote desktop to his PC to connect in and flash that way but on train and can't guide him till I'm home
  11. Do not disable your PCI. If you do that you can't flash the GPU because windows will not detect it.
  12. No he can't unfortunately because his mothrrboard disables igpu when normal GPU is plugged in
  13. im leaving work in 10 minutes so there might be a delay in my responses Once you have the IP. Switch PC Off and reinstall GPU. Switch it back on but do not plug any display ports in at all. iGPU and GPU should have no display cables connected into them. Now switch your laptop on. Gonna be difficult to take you through the whole way can anyone here take him through remote desktop to his pc and re-flashing the GPU bios ? if not i will be home in around 1 hour and will take you through the rest of the steps.
  14. okay so Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network and Sharing Centre Right cleft click ethernet or wifi depending on your connection type then click details highlighted in yellow is the numbers you want probs 192.168.0.5 or something.
  15. Once you have done Then please take note of your Internal IP address aswell (NOT THE ONE YOU USE ON THE INTERNET) (ask if your not sure how i will guide you to it) Then switch the machine off and reinstall your GPU. Then switch the machine on and switch on a laptop. tell me when your at this stage
  16. right click this pc - click Click Advanced system settings Click Remote Under Remote Assitance : Click Allow Remote Assistance Connections to this computer Under Remote Desktop : Allow Remote connections to this computer do not click only allow connections from computers running remote desktop with network level authenticaion DO NOT TICK THIS. Then write down the name you have given your pc
  17. okay take your GPU out. Load up your system with just the iGPU. will type more in a second
  18. Hmm.. Depends do you have Remote Desktop Enabled on your PC ?
  19. Okay your MOBO has a basic iGPU perfect. Run the system with that and keep the AMD Card connected. Go onto device manager can you see the device ?
  20. Can you give us your full system specs, as annoying as it sounds it's gonna help us all out to know your whole system. Do you have any spare GPU's ?
  21. Should also add that we restarted the SQL Service, Could it have been that the SQL was eating all of the memory ?
